bandwidth capped and no GPS, major bummer!

with istumbler active i only get a max. of around 400kbyte/sec, i have 2Mbyte/sec (16Mbit) DSL @ home... and without istumbler i get my full bandwidth! the other major bummer ist the missing GPS feature... what's going on??? mismac doesn't work with my broadcom 4321 airport card, and istumbler doesn't do GPS... no more war driving for me folks! i'm on my mbp, CD 2.0, with 802.11n broadcom 4321 upgrade kit card... Transmission 0.92 (Mac OS X)

.91 and .92 are ok!

i had some problems with .90 too. but now with .92 transmission is back. there's nothing that doesn't work and speeds are what they shoudl be. on the good seeds i get 2.0Mbyte (my max. for my 16Mbit ADSL2+). port forwarding works great again and the caps do what they intended to... thnx and i can recommend .92! Transmission 0.90 (Mac OS X)

best simple BT client out there

get better with every new build. very easy to use and i think it crashed on me once or twice since i've been using transmission. cool bandwidth features and easy to access global download/upload rate cap values. i also love the speed limit feature when i need my bandwidth for video chat or uploads to my idisk or other stuff. this new release supports encrypted operation by default with an option to ignore unencrypted BT clients, very nice! EyeConnect 1.1 (Mac OS X)

works with dlink HD media player

works with dlink HD media player. the hd video in xvod works fine, i have problems with some mp4 files though. also when i pause longer than a few seconds the media player stops the video and i have to start over and forward to the position i was at before it got stopped, very annoying... otherwise everything works... i have gotten up to bitrates of 10-12Mbit with HDTV over the air ATSC recordings from my eyeTV ATSC tuner, awesome;-) i find it very expensive though... IPNetMonitorX 2.1.2 (Mac OS X)

best network tool out there

if you need a tool to deal with tcp/ip and all the other quirks of your network this is it. i love the link rate tool that allows you to see what the actual link rate in the LAN or WAN really is! [alert admin]

Much too expencive

i agree, €10 would be ok, €7/$10 even better, many more people would pay for it if they'd adjust downwards...

Is this a Beta?

it has always has been up to now... no date set on when it will get to GM... it's ver stable though, and they ask $$$ for it, so it must work well, and it does...

More on problems with 0.90

i get up to 2Mbyte/sec, my 16Mbit ADSL2+ speed limit with good torrents that have seeders that are able to upload @ those data rates... them ost important thing is to cap your own upload bandwidth @ 2/3 of the maximum upload bandwidth! if you upload more than that you will very likely choke your DSL/Cable connection since the data overhead is 10-30% of the data. the limit is for the data only, not the tcp/ip…

UPnP!

transmission uses UPnP... just allow your router to use UPnP and transmission will open the ports it needs on its own!
