SideTrack 1.6 (Mac OS X)
I love the corner clicking. I played with for a little while, and it is a perfect complement to QuickSilver and Spaces. And the price is well worth it. However, I am way too accustomed to two fingered scrolling and two fingered right click. I see on your dev page that support is planned for this. I have set VT to notify me of updates on SideTrack. I will happily purchase it the instant you add that support. I look forward to using ST regularly. Great work. [alert admin]

AddMovie 1.2.2 (Mac OS X)
It seems to be nothing more than a wrapper for QT Pro and cat. I was looking for something to solve problems I was having with those. Unfortunately, I experienced the same problems with this. Some files were broken, only one segment displayed. Audio problems and skipping. It would be great if it actually brought something new to the table rather than just wrapping existing tools. I could be useful to those who don't like the command line or have QTPro. And it is a good price point. [alert admin]

Macintosh Explorer X 4.5 (Mac OS X)
Unfortunately, I purchased this product too quickly. I found it at MacZot, played with it for a few minutes and quickly fell in love with the concept. When I actually started to use it regularly, I found it to be a really poor substitute for the finder. In fact it is a really poor product in general. It is really slow, buggy and awkward. It is missing many of the general features you that you get for free in the finder. It crashes often, and is slow to refresh. It is also missing keyboard shortcuts. Just using the finder is much more efficient and productive. In general the idea is sound, but this is very poorly designed and executed. Huge thumbs down. [alert admin]

Speedy File Renamer 1.0.0 (Mac OS X)
"Speedy?" No. Not any faster than any other tool of the same kind. 300 files in a second is nothing. Complete lack of features, no regex, no sequential numbering. And worst of all the audacity to charge $10 for something you can do with Automator. There are other more powerful well built apps that do the same that are free. Skip this one, it is a waste of time downloading. [alert admin]

Footlights 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
This seems like a pretty pointless and broken application. The UI is non intuitive and very un-Mac like. Very limited features. I added some movies from remote drive at one point and now they are stuck there. If I try to delete them the app crashes with exception error. While it shows movies in a list, it is not a play list. The skip forward and back button don't seem to work. In general I like the apps from Radical breeze, but this seems like someone playing around with Xcode for fun, not something to be released as complete product, let alone something to ever consider charging for. Get VLC. It has a ton of features, is free and is a finished product. [alert admin]

Formation 1.1.4 (Mac OS X)
I got it a little while ago and generally speaking I really like it. I like its flexibility. Unfortunately messing around with the demo for a day or so didn't give me really good insight into how it would actually perform. Some issues I have encountered: Slow performance/responsiveness. (1.25Ghz/1.5GB) to bulky for taking quick notes. Could benefit from at least one more level of hierarchy. Now I have multiple docs, it would be nice to use just one.Application preferences instead of document prefs. And changes that apply across the board. I set up one document with a bunch of items on my shelf, only to find this not available in other documents. Did I mention performance? Not so good. That being said, I really dig the concept and application. Info managers are only useful if you can use them efficiently and Formation allows you to organize your data in a way to best fit your needs and workflow. Despite the slowness of the app, it has quickly become indispensable. I really look forward to Formation 2. [alert admin]

I download from either here or the developer's site and get the same result. I was hoping this version would be better, but I can't tell. Last version would lock up iTunes when I tried to use it. I download, unstuff, mount. I then try to drag the folder to the desktop as instructed and it sits at zero bytes. Then the finder locks and I have to reboot. Oh well, Libra works much better and is free. [alert admin]

Just to echo what the others said, it is shareware not donationware. Simply you have incorrectly labeled you product. You can try to explain or justify your choice of terms, but quite simply those terms already have definitions. Now, it may not seem like a big deal to you, but the problem is trust. From your responses, it seems like you have the best intentions. But when I downloaded to try,…

Very sad. I bought 1.4, and was really looking forward to the upgrade. The current version is really slow and needs some serious UI work. I had high hopes for it, and was looking forward to XP version so I could share my data across my computers. I really lost respect and faith for the developer after the blog incident. They really got hostile to their customers and continually made promises that they…

The interface is no better or worse than footlights. And as far as features go, that doesn't make much sense. While vlc does have many extra features that users won't use, that seems to the foundation for footlights. Transparent playback, rotating a playing movie? Are those and more useful than vlc's features? I am not saying vlc is great or complete, but it is far more functional as a player and it…
