M-Audio FireWire 410 1.8.1 (Mac OS X)
I have had this box for over two years. I am a professional audio engineer and webcast producer. I never have been able to count on this box. The drivers never work properly, the interface is illogical. I had high hopes for this box, but, consistently fall back to my Onkyo SEU55 which is a USB device, but, it works every time with out fail, and you can find them online for $100. This box and it's software and it's tech support is useless. [alert admin]

Sound Studio 3.0.4 (Mac OS X)
I use Sound Studio as a professional two-track recording app recording and archiving live concerts by a band I work for using a 1.5 Ghz Powerbook. From recording to editing it is intuitive and delivers excellent results. The Marker feature is key in marking songs in a 2 hour plus set and then being able to 'Split to Markers' and create song by song archives of every performance. It's no ProTools, but, for an easy to use 2-track editor with a good set of features as well, I highly recommend it. [alert admin]

Sound Studio 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)
I have been using SoundStudio in the field for 4 years now recording, webcasting and archiving live shows including concerts by: Wilco, Tortoise, R.E.M., David Byrne, etc. mixing two external mics and soundboard audio down to a two track live recording. It is a great tool and I recommend it to clients all of the time, and the price is fair, even though it keeps going up... ;-) Nice work... and 3.0 is a great upgrade. From recording, to two-track editing to cataloguing to adding markerers/chapters and then outputting that information to CD, disc or QuickTime, is really handy. Ken [alert admin]

iBiz Multi-User 2.3.2 (Mac OS X)
I used iWork and while it wasn't perfect, i felt it was one of the better time tracking apps out there. iBiz Multi-User has never worked properly. I have a 3 person office, and constantly lose hours, it's not intuitive, it crashes often and seems like i'm being prompted for an update every time i launch the thing. Ian (the developer) does respond to support inquiries, but, i bought this software to help me keep track of my hours, and i don't feel as though i can trust it. [alert admin]
