Chipmunk 1.2.1b1 (Mac OS X)

Not worth the trouble  

Took me several try on two computers before I got an uncorrupted download. . Once I got it to work, it was not very untuitive - I could not figure out what the heck it was supposed to be doing. probably my fault not Chipmunks, but before I got the hang of it, I got a notice that the Demo had timed out, and that I had to buy the real version to use it any longer. Uhmm, there was no warning/notice in the description that it was a demo, and not a fully functioning, albiet shareware, program,, far less a demo that would quit after ten minutes! Not only that, but the pay-us-or-else screen then wouldn't go away - it just sat there with that stupid twirly thing turning, and locked up my computer - couldn't make it go away or force a quit, so I had to do a full restart. BootCD 0.6.2 (Mac OS X)

Great program, but boy is it slow......  

The boot CDs I have made with this program work as advertised, and it has save me a lot of hassle, so I am a happy camper. Only thing is, it sure takes long to boot up - much longer than any commercial boot CD I have ever used. OK that's looking a gift horse in the mouth, but I am just curious why, and if anyone has any tips to make it faster. One clue might be that whatever max size you allow it, that's the size of the disk you get. [alert admin]
