And still free updates for Snow Leopard! The best support around, solid performance, and easy to use. It's the standard at my company, and I put my reputation and job on the line recommending this. No hesitation. Got a question? A problem? Email Shirt-Pocket and it gets answered - usually the same day. 5-stars, and nothing short. [alert admin]

OnyX 2.0.3 (Mac OS X)
Blaming misuse of this (or any) tool is ridiculous. A computer is a complex thing. Just because some idiot(s) download, install, and misuse it doesn't mean it's not great - and it IS great. I'm with others here - amazing it's still free. I use it at work and home. I recommend it. I'm a 25 year user of Macs, and I support hundreds. Don't blame the tools, blame the (mis)users if something goes wrong. I've never had a problem - including betas. And yes, AppleJack is another great tool for the kit. SB [alert admin]

Give this a try - what Safari should have had from the beginning! Make it even better - and now Safari is my default again. SB [alert admin]

AIM for Mac Beta 1 (Mac OS X)
It works, but the question is: Why?
While this beta seems solid, I don't have real reason to SWITCH to it from iChat or Adium. It makes sense that they offer their own software, but in this day, you need to offer something to entice folks to use/switch. At this point, I don't see it, but at least it's fairly solid. SB [alert admin]

HoudahSpot 2.2.2 (Mac OS X)
OK, I've now spent some time with this, and although it seems daunting at first - so many options - once you set it up to your liking, you'll wonder why Apple has not (yet) bought this great app for the next version of OS X! This is a fine example of how someone takes the foundation of an Apple feature and making it 500% better. Try it, and if you can't afford it, enroll in school and get the student discount :) My only suggestion is to lower the price so more folks can (and will) buy it. Also, a full timed-demo would be better for people to test it out. Scott [alert admin]

HoudahSpot 2.2.2 (Mac OS X)
But, even with the weak US Dollar, I can't see paying that price tag. I want to support good software, but I have to also look at what it adds vs price. Not a knock so much as a suggestion. It really is neat. Scott [alert admin]

MacFuse included Still 32-bit only!
Many items in the software world will not be 64-bit simply because it offers up NO improvements. Just because it says "64-bit" doesn't mean it will be any better (faster)

Two different utilities. Of course users have to be careful, but if you use this CORRECTLY, it's fine. Been using for years - including betas - and no issues. Now, one more thing, AJ - a great utility - does not do all that this utility does. What it does, it does well and safely, but OnyX has a lot of useful options that are not in AJ. Utilities are no different than having a set of tools for your…
