MacPool 4.0.0.0 (Mac OS X)
Horrible UI, the much vaunted "Shadowed Window" interface is a joke. Not realistic at all, and very slow playback. Try foobilliards if you're looking for a pool game, it's far better. [alert admin]

Iconverter 0.86 (Mac OS X)
Iconverter won't load up on my MacBook, and I'm assuming it's because it's not a UB. Any chance of a UB version of this software? I know it's old, but it looks to be exactly what I need right now. jW [alert admin]

TreetopLights 2.0 (Mac OS X)
If you need a program with more flexibility and less processor usage, try MacLampsX. It's based off of the old Holiday Lights from OS 9, and only uses 3-5% on my computer. Plus, the bulbs can be set to alternate, chase, or blink together, or simply to stay on all the time. [alert admin]

CutX for Safari 2.1 (Mac OS X)
Sounds like a rip-off of PithHelmet, and from the existing reviews it doesn't work as well. Sure, PithHelmet might need some rule programming to do that, but it's more effective, and it'll block all adds and more. [alert admin]

PithHelmet 0.7 (Mac OS X)
There's one problem. I can't get 0.7 to install on my system. It claims that I don't have Safari 1.0 (v85) installed, although I'm using it right now. I've tried everything I know to get it to install, and it refuses. Any ideas? Btw, I will continue to use PithHelmet no matter what, it's an invaluable piece of software, and for more than just blocking ads. [alert admin]

FruitMenu 3.1 (Mac OS X)
One problem I noticed was that if you set the contextual menus to come up on click and hold in the Finder, they come up while you are holding a click on a scroll arrow, so that it only scrolls a little ways, and then the menu pops up and it stops scrolling. Annoying, but the only problem I've found so far. Good Job! [alert admin]

We needed these updates! Not sure what the update to the alarm clock or the backlight did, but everything works great! BTW, if you didn't buy the new iPod, then don't complain that you didn't get it's features! Apple might not even be able to give you the new features, but even if they can, why would they want to? They're out to sell products, and they're apparantly quite good at it. Give it up! [alert admin]

Temperature Monitor 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Would be nice for this to support the thermostat on the FP iMacs. [alert admin]

pages correctly than any other browser I've used to this day. In my opinion, it should be a 1.0 browser, finished, and only needing improvments to things that do not affect it's usability. [alert admin]

Canon ScanExpert 3.8 (Mac OS X)
is way too late. The only reason I haven't gotten rid of my Canon scanner is that i don't have money to go out and buy another one. And you'd think they could make it work without having to buy Photoshop or Elements just to be able to use the driver. Hopefully this will work with GraphicConvertor too. [alert admin]

I don't think the point is that the developer shouldn't be allowed to use the Omni prefix, but rather that it might be in his best interest to differentiate himself from the OmniGroup to avoid confusion. I agree with that point. Certainly it's not possible to trademark/copyright the Omni- prefix, but they can use it so readily as to make it automatically associated with them like the OP was suggesting.

Maybe the problem is that this isn't a Konfabulator widget. This is for Dashboard, and you'll have to use it the way it's intended.
