PhotoExpress 2.0 (Mac OS X)

version number question

Version tracker has PhotoExpress 2.3 available for download. Checking on the developer's site and all I see is version 2.0 Is there an explanation? [alert admin]

WeatherPop 2.3 (Mac OS X)

i give up...

after several weeks of trying to get this software to work again. It worked fine for a year or more but no longer reports any local temps. What software is similar to Weatherpop? I'm ready to switch. Just when I was planning on paying for the advance version. Too bad because it did work fine for a long time. Too bad that there is no support. [alert admin]

WeatherPop 2.3 (Mac OS X)

No longer shows local temps

For the last week or so WeatherPop hasn't shown the local temperatures. If I change locations to places such as New York, Phoenix, Fort Myers or locations other than local, it works fine. But with Hudson, WI or St. Paul or Minneapolis MN the icon in the menu bar shows a red circle with an x in it. I have downloaded WeatherPop again but it didn't change anything. No point in upgrading to Advance if the free version no longer works correctly. [alert admin]

OnyX 1.5.0 (Mac OS X)

Deleted it

after not finding anything, nothing at all, in the Help section. Under Help is a "link" to e mail the developer. All attempts to use that link to send an e mail locked up Entourage X. Don't like things that don't work, deleted everything with the word Onyx. [alert admin]

Adobe Reader 6.0.3 (Mac OS X)

Version 7.0

has been released but when I use the Adobe Reader "update" under "help" only version 6.0.3 comes up. So I ran that update. Why doesn't it list 7.0 now? I hate to download 7.0 and have to attempt uninstalling 6.0.3. I've tried this before and what a headache with no uninstaller from Adobe. What can I do besides rechecking "update" every now and then and hope that 7.0 pops up? [alert admin]

freePhotoConverter 3.5 (Mac OS X)

asked why freephoto converter was no longer on developer's site and

this was the answer We stopped developing freePhotoConverter in favor of our $10 PhotoExpress. To give freePhotoConverter a decent end of life bonus (version 3.5 is freePhotoConverter's final release) we added all the features of PhotoExpress. Now we removed it from our website. We just don't have enough time to develop both PhotoExpress and freePhotoConverter. Support will always be available by mail. Greetings, Pathos [alert admin]

Frosted Screensaver 2.1 (Mac OS X)

The developer should have

included the option of throwing snowballs at that obnoxious Santa Claus. Those HO, HO, HOs are too much. Even the throwing distance of the snow balls is too shallow. Maybe, just maybe, the 6 year old grandson will get a kick out of this but the 8 and 10 years olds will be thoroughly bored. Download the free version. It's a novelty but for $5 you get what you paid for. [alert admin]

The best ..I am surprised by the difference in 9.1

First you tell us how surprised you are at how good it is and then turn around and say that you would not recommend this software. Which is it?

Works fine for me

Interesting... when I downloaded the latest update I didn't see an uninstaller nor was I advised to use one. Twice, I tried to download and install the latest v.115 on my Tiger equipped machine. Both times I was informed that I have v.47 installed. Where is the uninstaller and will running that first ensure that v.115 will install?

comcast users: we can not reach you

OK, I have no other address except the Comcast.net address. Does this mean that if I download PhotoExpress 2 and pay my $5, $10, or $15 that I will never receive or be given credit for my payment with a serial number?

This Is a New One...

Consider yourself lucky. The verification process never completes on my computer. The progress bar suddenly freezes and the beach ball spins until I power off the computer. Guess I'll uninstall Onyx and wait for the next version.
