Poker Academy Pro 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
It took me about a month to decide to spend the $$$ to buy this software. I am glad I did. I feel like I really have to work if I want to win while using this software. I play in low-limit game in a Nevada "border town" and I was able to adjust the dynamics of the software in order to better simulate the games I play in. This games is a challlenge and I need the challenge to improve my game. I have iPoker, and yes, the graphics and sounds are nice, but it is a GAME easy to beat and master. Poker Academy is a training tool. [alert admin]

When I bought a new iBook with 10.4, it came with garage band and I was initially excited to use it. However, I found that it was overkill for the type of projects that I do. I simply need something to quickly and easily record my voice for lectures and lessons that I put online. I downloaded audacity at one point, but I didn't want to bother learning new software when SoundStudio was so simple and easy to use. I am glad the developer has a new version of SoundStudio. Unlike my previous version, the Beta has yet to crash and it seems to save and "render" so much faster that the prior version. I'm very glad to be using this software again! Thanks! - Ryan [alert admin]

$50 does seem like a lot, however I am an educational user and an updgrader so I believe it will only cost me $20. When I need to convert my SoundStudio AIFF files to mp3 (Which is always since I need small files for online posting), I simply add the files to iTunes and use the built in mp3 converter in iTunes. peace - Ryan
