Foobar2000 0.9.2 beta 4 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)

Pleasantly like a WinAmp slimmed for the office.

It's simple, it keeps playlists, and it plays radio stations fine. It plays huge files bit by bit without complaint and right now it has allocated a 16MB RAM footprint altogether. It did great at throwing down a directory full of podcasts and stuff, and making a playlist, though it did take some time; it choked earlier when I had simply fed it my data volume to digest. There's even an equalizer in case you want to tune your 'cover noise mode' or such. Very low-key graphics; it's not trying to sell you a bunch of blow-in ads for AOL and Apple. [alert admin]

Also, there are the basic cirriculum files from school there.

True, it helps to know Dutch, but that should be no problem if the language files at the site (you can feed the program as effortlessly as you like) are any indication. [alert admin]

So, what does this OS that is not an OS do? Does it have wacky misadventures with other New Yorkers who come by its network domain? Is it a good busybox for a 5 year old somehow? It's a big file; what're you promising other than that?
