this by hand (duh) until I found this app. Works fine with QuickTime 6.1, which has better fine tuning of the AAC Export prefs. [alert admin]

Moa Tunes 1.4 (Mac OS X)
much...I tried this a while ago, became enamored of AppleScript, and managed to either download apportioned script versions of the components I found useful or learned to write my own. If you don't mind a bloatload of features (and, yes, oogly UI) this thing is for you. [alert admin]
