WWII Online Launcher 1.0 (Mac OS X)

If you have problems getting it to launch the game...

If the WW ][ Online game does not launch correctly when requesting to play online (axis or allies) locate the PlayNet application in the PlayNet folder (install directory for game) and run it by double clicking on it. This will get it registered with Mac OS X launch services so the launcher tool can find it.

Fixes to this issue are expected in the 1.1 version.

WWII Online 1.16.2 (Mac OS X)

Fun game and always getting better...

This is a great WWII era game that allows one to participate in large battles with land forces (infantry, armor, trucks, anti-aircraft, etc.), air forces (fighters, bombers, etc.), and naval forces (river boats, destroyers, transports, etc.) controlled by 100s to 1000s of online players in a large theater of battle. You can even have multiple people control or ride a vehicle (e.g. bombers with pilot and tail gunner, tanks with driver and gunner, tanks/inf riding on transports for naval invasions, etc.). The game is updated every few months with new features and bug fixes (yeah they have a few problems here and there). [alert admin]

WWII Online 1.14.1 (Mac OS X)

For those having issue with an update download cycle...

If you attempt to launch the game and it proceeds to download an update you already have or the full installer when it shouldn't be abort that download and proceed to launch the game offline (double the World War ][ Online application). This should get your current installed version registered correctly with the OS and allow the correct update process to take place. You will likely have to do this after every update install until such time as the issue is corrected in the PlayNet downloader or Mac OS X (this issue showed up after a security update for Mac OS X that changed how Launcher Services deals with applications that users haven't yet run). I like it…

but on a large screen the mouse travel is killing me and only so many free key combinations exist. It would be great to have a single key combo bring up something that using mousing can branch out into other menus. [alert admin]

Portraits & Prints Template Maker 1.0.0 (Mac OS X)

FYI... The installer…

currently doesn't force a reboot. You will need to reboot to get the driver to load. I am working on a tool that will start the driver without the need of a reboot. Sorry for any confusion. [alert admin]

Alas...

After every game update you will have to launch the game manually yourself (double click) before this application will be able to launch it. I am working a fix for this issue in the 1.1 version. FYI if your subscription to WWII has run out you likely will only be able to play offline.

Not Great

Simply right-click on JPEG file and select "Get Info". In the resulting window look for "Open with". Then select the application you wan to use to open this file. You can also click the "Change All..." button to make all files like the one selected open in that application.
