OfficeTime 1.3.2 (Mac OS X)

Highly Recommended

I'm a consultant and always needing to track time. I'm also forgetful and often forgetting to log my time. After about six months of use, I'll be sticking with OfficeTime. I've tried several, but OT has the best overall package. Setting up jobs, pulling daily/weekly/monthly reports, and exporting are all dead simple. Starting or stopping any job from the menu bar is a one click operation and I'm beginning to wonder how I lived without it. It has a simple automatic backup that will not replace your regular routine, but is a welcome safety net. It's all wrapped up in a clean UI that has what you need without getting in the way. I've more than made up for the cost of this product in billable hours I would have lost track of otherwise. One quibble- I'd like to batch export all my projects for a month into discrete files. Currently, multiple jobs can be combined into one report or invoice, but you have to set up and run the operation for each file you want to generate. Still, I love this product and recommend it to anyone who has to track time on several projects at once. [alert admin]

Photomatix Pro 3.0b1 (Mac OS X)

Suggestion

I've tried this product are really, really like it. The images it creates are amazing and fun to create. I'd like to suggest that the developer offer a simplified version for noodlers like me who enjoy making tone mapped images for fun, but can't justify the hundred bucks. I wouldn't mind having less control over my images. I don't even know what half these things do, but for $30 I'd buy an app that made HDR images suitable for personal use. [alert admin]

Geotagger 1.2 (Mac OS X)

Handy Util

I found this to work quite well. Makes it dead simple to geotag photos without the use of a GPS reciever. One minor tweak, some of my photos ended up with locations slightly off from where I intended. If it's reved, I'd love to see a little UI in there like a "drop it here" window and the ability to manually edit location data. But, come on, it's free and it works. I can't complain. [alert admin]

errific update

I just picked up the upgrade and love it. Mark/Space is the only major player in this space, but they aren't getting lazy. The new conduits for iLife apps and Address Book and iCal are terrific. I'm looking forward to like after iSync. This is a must-have app for Palm OS users and you'll wonder how you lived without it. [alert admin]
