Macally ICEKey 1.0 (Mac OS X)

BUGGY drivers. Do NOT use with Intel Macs.

Volume up/down keys will mess up the arrow that expands or collapses trees in certain apps like iPhoto and iTunes. If you want that arrow to become unresponsive until you reboot, then install these drivers. Otherwise, avoid it. Almost a year now and they still haven't fixed this issue. [alert admin]

Transmit 3.5.5 (Mac OS X)

Buggy upload process

When trying to upload a file via FTP, say more than 20MB, it will stall at the end of the upload process and then restart the upload again, erasing the part of the file that was uploaded. This upload/stall/re-upload cycle happens continuously and is a waste of time and bandwidth. I tried another FTP app (Cyberduck) and it uploaded the same files just fine. I tried again with Transmit 3.5.5 and the upload problem occurs. Sorry, I can't recommend purchasing an app that doesn't even work as well as a free alternative. [alert admin]

1Passwd 2.0.3594 (Mac OS X)

2.0.3594 still crashes camino

1passwd still causes Camino 1.0.3 to crash periodically. Would not recommend using 1passwd with Camino until they fix this issue. [alert admin]

1Passwd 2.0.3538 (Mac OS X)

Crashes Camino

1passwd causes Camino 1.0.3 to crash a lot. Other than that, works great. [alert admin]

Transmit 3.2 (Mac OS X)

Does not do true server-to-server SFTP transfers

Transmit cannot do true server-to-server SFTP transfers. Files actually get downloaded to the local mac and uploaded to the destination server. Does anyone know of an SFTP client on Mac that does true server-to-server transferring w/o using the local client as an intermediary? [alert admin]

NetShade 2.1.1 (Mac OS X)

improvement suggestions for developer

when the auto-filter is used, why not hide the proxies that don't match? that way the use doesn't have to scroll through the entire list to find a few that may match. there is a non-u.s. filter criteria. why not add a u.s. only filter criteria? a lot of public proxies, although they may have fast ping times, simply do not work or allow web traffic through. there needs to be a better criteria than ping time for identifying a working public proxy. some proxy servers can be connected to by multiple ip's, but identify themselves as a single ip to a website. would be nice to see these proxies listed just once along with their main public ip. Intuit Quicken 2005 14.0.1 (Mac OS X)

poorly designed mac app

this is one area where the windows version is clearly superior to the mac version. i've used quicken on windows since 1994, until i made the switch to mac in 2002. been using quicken for mac since then and i've been dreading it since. unfortunately, there is no better alternative on the mac, and i don't feel like starting up virtual pc every time i want to use quicken for win. i'm not a big fan of msft, but if they released a new version of ms money for mac, i bet a lot of mac users would switch in a heartbeat. intuit needs to get their head out of their as***. Buggy upload process

Where do see the "keep connection alive" setting? I can't find it in Transmit 3.5.5 preferences.
