TomTom Home 2.5.1.34 (Mac OS X)
Since the latest firmware upgrade on the 930T, now the emulator crashes each time you access it through TT Home. I tried for hours, including backgrading TTH along with Tech Support. Actually, they aren't too bad, but they just don't know Macs that well. They sent me instructions to backgrade the 930T WHICH WERE INCORRECT - I could tell they were for Windows. Thankfully, I knew what I was doing and didn't mess anything up. I've used Garmin, and they were no better with the Macs; they took forever to develop a Mac program. The 930T runs circles around the Nuvi, so I'm stuck with buggy Mac software that was, obviously, an afterthought that was ported over from Windows. If you don't believe it, just take a look at how their Preferences "folders" are set up! And, don't try to delete those folders, TTH will crash and burn. [alert admin]

Apple iPhone 2.2 (Mac OS X)
If you haven't heard, please allow me to share with you the recommended method of installing ANY upgrades through iTunes. 1. When notified that an upgrade is available, click on DOWNLOAD ONLY. Do NOT use the DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL option. 2. When the download is completed, you may then apply the update without fear of corruption due to interrupted service during the download; whether on your end or Apple's. [alert admin]

APC Powerchute 1.3.4 (Mac OS X)
I've installed this software several times over the years and, today, fell for it once again after talking to an APC tech so I could change the sensitivity on my UPS. Lo and Behold, gee, you can't do squat on the Mac version. So, I loaded the software on my Windows Bootcamp and what a disgrace to APC for even attempting to give the MAC users a piece of "software". Compared to the Windows version, APC should even bother!! AND, neither should we. Just use the built-in OS X System Pref. It does a heckuva lot more!! [alert admin]

I'm a HUGE fan of OMNIS products, so I have no doubt OmnisFocus will be great in the long run. Right now, however, it is still a very unstable program. Crashes are a common occurrence and Tech Support is bombarded, I'm sure, especially after implementing a CrashReporting tool that will email them a report each time it crashes. The program's features are very nice, especially the Nearby tool. Response between screens is OK, but my biggest complaint for speed is during startup. Every time you launch the program, it goes through a "Loading..." phase that just seems to be a waste of time - particularly when you've just done a map search and then returned back to OmnisFocus. I can't wait til they squash all the bugs. [alert admin]

Point of reason... You should not evaluate (and criticize) PAST VERSIONS. I started reading your review and gasped...until I found out you weren't even talking about the proper version! Point of clarification... I just found out that a friend's phone "locked up" due to an 3rd party APPLICATION ISSUE. I don't really call this BRICKING which, in the "hacker's" world happens all the time when cracking firmware and unlocking a phone goes awry.
