It's a promising app. But despite being labelled as a public beta, it keeps nagging you to pay $15.
Nobody should be asked to pay for a beta version. Betas are for testing, if anything, you should be paying us for helping you find your bugs ;) When you release version 1.0, that's when you ask people to buy it.

Maxi Bidder 1.9.9 (Mac OS X)
Works reasonably well when you figure out the complicated UI, but doesn't seem to work when you're behind a web proxy. This renders it mostly useless for me, and is pretty inexcusable for a piece of software that's presumably only dealing with HTTP traffic anyway. [alert admin]

Update: this eventually sorted itself out when I upgraded to Tiger, so probably nothing inherently wrong with Cabos itself.

FWIW, I re-installed the security update as suggested. Cabos now starts up for me without the Java warning, but it still fails to connect to any networks. (Poisoned, Xfactor and iSwipe all connect just fine, however.)
