StuffIt Expander 12.0.2 (Mac OS X)
If you need a free de-stuffit tool, use The Unarchiver. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/30810 Free, doesn't require admin privileges to install. It decompress everything except .sitx files, which nobody should be using anyways. Propriety compression formats are annoying. Stuffit, you were good about 10 years ago, but now... not so much. VMware Fusion 1.1.3 (Mac OS X)
I've been using Fusion for just over a year. After initially fumbling with Parallels and having kernel panics, I gave Fusion a try. I use it every day. I'm a web developer, and it's allowed me to get rid of the noisy PC that I used to use as a testing server. In the past year, I've recommended Fusion to everyone I can. Never had a crash, or any problem that I can remember. I've created Solaris, Linux, Win XP, Win 2000, and Win Server 2003 virtual machines, and they all work perfect. Not much else to say except it's a real pleasure to use well engineered software. These guys know what they're doing. Looking forward to checking out version 2 when it's final. [alert admin]

Scheduler for Macintosh 5.0.3 (Mac OS X)
Been around since 2001? You'd think it would work by now... Perhaps the ugliest toolbar icons I've ever seen. Remarkable. Set up an hourly reminder for tomorrow... got some "fatal error". Whatever. into the trash. [alert admin]

Adobe Flash Professional 9.0.2 (Mac OS X)
What's up with these things?
Downloaded the update from here... installed it... looked to see if Flash was in fact 9.0.2 and the answer was NO.
SO, I ran the update from within Flash itself, and still, nothing. Some "Flash Lite" something-or-other...
Flash is still 9.0.0.494
HEY... THERE'S THIS THING CALLED "PACKAGE INSTALLERS"... Why can't you (Adobe) use them?

FontNuke 1.1.3 (Mac OS X)
Doesn't seem to locate system font caches
On 10.5, ran this a couple times, but all it found were various Adobe .lst caches. I know the system font caches are hidden away somewhere in /private/var/folders or something 'cause I had to delete them manually a couple weeks ago. Am I missing something? [alert admin]

Mail Archiver X 2.1b2 (Mac OS X)
Am I missing something? Why would you need this?
The description says: "Mail Archiver sets out to help you with the storage of emails." I've been using Apple Mail for about 6 years. It has done a fine job of storing my email. Spotlight does a fine job of finding messages when I need to. Not sure what Mail Archiver means by "cleaning your email" but I'm sure I don't need it. I've got less than 1GB of sent/saved/inbox/everything else email, so it's not like I need to reclaim that space considering I have 1.75TB of local storage. What does this do that Mail doesn't already do? Or, is it really necessary? 20MB download seems a bit big too... This wouldn't be a RealBasic app would it? [alert admin]

Mac Pilot 2.4.4 (Mac OS X)
Just wondering why this program is needs to be updated so often. Makes me a little cautious to use something that needs so many changes, updating potentially critical system level items... [alert admin]

CSSEdit 2.6 (Mac OS X)
A few comments back, I noted that, while still very happy with this app, the only thing it was missing was the fact that changes made in another application would not be reflected in CSSEdit. Now it does, and I'm very pleased! Excellent! Note--I've never seen any CPU related issues as mentioned below. Currently running along side Dreamweaver CS3 and TextMate on OS 10.5 Intel. VirtualHostX 1.0.8 (Mac OS X)
Works with Leopard's Apache2 and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Clean cocoa interface, good price. Great little app! [alert admin]
