Facebook Exporter for iPhoto 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)

Newer version but still broken

The Developers' web site has a newer version of the plugin (1.0.4), but doesn't work with 10.5.4. Not sure why the newer version isn't posted to VersionTracker. People with 10.5.3 might want to try it out. The release date was shortly before the 10.5.4 update, so I'm guessing they are just behind. [alert admin]

GarageSale Basic 1.0b1 (Mac OS X)

What's the point?

Uh...there is only $5 difference in price between this and the Full version, why bother?! $15 would make more sense, for a "basic" version, unless they are going to raise the price of the other. Why support 2 products for $5 difference. My 2 cents. [alert admin]

Logitech Control Center 2.4.0 (Mac OS X)

LCC breaks Growl

After quite a bit of troubleshooting, and checking out the Growl forums, I have confirmed (on my system) that LCC breaks the Growl notifications for most apps on Leopard. After uninstalling, everything works great, but I loose my button functionality. Also, I had an issue the the LCC Update app staying open all the time. LCC has always been sub-par software but it has done the job and never interferred before. This is pretty sad, especially since they have great hardware IMO. I hope they can fix all this in the future. In the meantime I have to find a mouse driver alternative. [alert admin]

DoBeDo 3.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Does NOT work with Leopard

I have been using this widget for a while on Tiger and it is normally really good, but in spite of it saying that it is compatible with 10.5 Intel/PPC, when installing on my PPC Powerbook with 10.5, it will NOT work and displays a message that it will only work with Tiger. Perhaps the Developer posted the wrong version? [alert admin]

JewelCase 2.0 (Mac OS X)

Should be added to Apple TV!

This has always been one of my favorite visualizers. I was really happy when it was finally updated. Works great! Apple should buy this, like Coverflow, and make it an AppleTV screensaver! [alert admin]

The Software is Free But...

It isn't really Elgato's fault. I talked to them at MacWorld in January, and it isn't that they aren't trying to find program guide solutions, it's that they have been unable to get a partnership arrangement like the one they have with TitanTV (which has been sucking lately). They need the partnership in order to incorporate the program listing service into their software. So just like you advised the previous poster, make sure you direct your…

Newer version but still broken

Actually, playing with it more, it seems that the export and comments get sent to Facebook alright, but the tagging doesn't. So even though the Exporter gives you an error, the picture still shows up in the album waiting for approval.

It's about time!

While I admit that the Dymo software for Mac leaves a little to be desired, and they have had some missteps, many developers did not have final release versions of Leopard until after it was in stores. There was a big uproar about it in the Dev community. I have noticed that a number of larger companies have been late updating drivers and software, probably due to waiting for a retail copy of Leopard. While…

Neat, but...

Small correction...the padlock should not be "unlocked" when you are connected. The lock indicates whether it is an open or password protected network. If you use a password on your ABS, the lock will be red and locked (the color and padlock state are simply 2 ways to say the same thing).

BAD SOFTWARE - DO NOT USE

I installed GD on an Intel MacBook and had the exact same problem, although without the severe disk corruption. Several times my Mac would suddenly start to exibit odd behavior, couldn't empty trash, certain apps (like Activity Monitor) would crash on launch, couldn't open System Preferences, etc. The only way to break out of it was to restart, but it was only a matter of time before the symptoms would return. Also, after 5 days,…

Thanks for the Feedback

Cool, I noticed that the quote was fixed. One other "glitch" I have noticed. Any text with a dangling part, like lower case "y", "g", "j", etc. overlaps what should be the 'table' andlays on top of the refelection. This sort of ruins the effect. Anything you can do about that? Also, animated text might be a nice option, but I think having the text sitting there is more appropriate. I think people are referring to…
