Nokia Multimedia Transfer 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)
Nokia 6555 not supported either
I don't get why phone manufacturers put out software that is not compatible with their currently shipping products! Nokia, the software is welcome, but you are a day late and a dollar (or actually, many multiples of these values) short -- please do better. [alert admin]

Textures 2.2.0b4 (Mac OS X)
1) Speed. 2) Features. People, please read the already posted comments at minimum, and USE THE SOFTWARE (for this or any package) before posting your reactions. The existence of free alternatives should not be a reason for posting critical comments of this or any item of software you have not yet tried. If you are happy with the alternative packages, it would be pleasant and would increase your karma to go to the pages of those products and post positive comments there, rather than knock software you haven't tried. Yes, other products have grown quite feature-full in the time since Textures has been developing its OS X - native version. As a regular user of all of these products for many years, I have been awaiting the return of Textures as an OS X - native app. I have my license from years before, and if the new one works out to be as good as the Classic version was, I will be happy to pay for the upgrade to get my favorite TeX production tool back. Thank you for your attention. [alert admin]

Guitar Tuner 5.2.1 (Mac OS X)
No problems, easy to use and accurate. If you are comparing to a hardware tuner, make sure that one is not misleading you! [alert admin]

ConceptDraw V 5.5.0 (Mac OS X)
Shocking that this is a paid upgrade, not an update!
This is a minor point release that does nto add much new functionality. The fixes should be a simple update, and the idea of charging $99 to add Visio export capability is simply ridiculous! [alert admin]

TAO 1.1b14b (Mac OS X)
Is there ever a stable version of this product?
The release cycle for this program does not seem to produce stable versions -- instead, it goes from a this to b that. Please, author, can you move to releasing stable versions so we do not have to constantly be upgrading to minor revs? [alert admin]

iGroupCal 1.3 (Mac OS X)
Name deceptively similar to GroupCal, but it's a different product
Note this is not the same as GroupCal from Snerd Software! I have tried and like the latter, but have not tried this one. [alert admin]

Great product, whiners quit complaining and try new version ![]()

The site clearly indicated that the previous version was not Tiger compatible, and I have found the company very responsive to both complaints and praise as well as feature suggestions. Perhaps previous posters could refrain from commenting until they have tried it out under the advertised conditions! Under 10.3.9, I have found this to be the perfect solution for synchronizing my calendars while still allowing me full access to publish other iCal calendars to the Web. [alert admin]

Celestia 1.3.2 (Mac OS X)
OK, here are the tricks, folks! ![]()

OK, got it to work. 1) Put the application and all of the other files on the distribution disk into a folder named Celestia (not Celestia ƒ, etc.) on your disk. 2) Make the change indicated in the previous postings to uncomment the IgnoreGLExtensions line (remove the # from the beginning of the line that says: # IgnoreGLExtensions [ "GL_ARB_vertex_program" ]). 3) Make sure you do not have anything in your DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH that refers to a directory that contains any other version of libpng.dylib (I had a reference to /sw/lib for other programs that I use that require newer versions of this library, so just make sure this is not the case 00- use echo $PATH from within the terminal to find out, and also check your ~/.MacOSX/environment.plist file to make sure there are not any such conflicting path references in it.) Then it works fine, and goes through the demo, etc. without problems. [alert admin]

If you had ever tried the old TeXtures, you would know why ![]()

I use TeXshop all the time, but miss many of the features that TeXtures brought to the equation to make it easier to use, especially if you write all the time and produce article,s papers or books with any kind of volume. So personally I can't wait for a true OS X TeXtures and look forward to seeing this emerge.

Umm... postfix is built in. You just run Server Admin, click to "Mail," make sure the settings are waht you want and click "Start Service" You don't install postfix, it is already installed.

This is Apple's problem not Cocktail's! See discussions in the Apple Network discussions forum -- and please consider modding or deleting your review -- the ifconfig stuff is hosed in 10.2.8 and Panther for some reason.
