FastIcns 3.1 (Mac OS X)
I used to use ExportIcon, but now its a gonner. This app really does the trick, however, one star is lost due to zero instructions and it will not assign to a drive volume. No worries on the latter, just create a new folder, assign the icon to it, then copy and past the icon via "Get Info". A bit of a hassle, but the icon looks great! [alert admin]

ID3 Editor 1.9.7 (Mac OS X)
Works great except the developers never seem to listen to users. I have been asking for over a year for custom, redundant entries for our podcasts (you know, same picture, same copyright, same genre, etc.) and all they do is fix a bug here and there. Their update hoops are a pain, only to find that nothing much has changed in a year. [alert admin]

HammerSnipe PowerTool 2.0.1 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
This is vaporware disguised to get you to their main advertising page to try their service. [alert admin]

iTunes2web 1.1 (Mac OS X)
I like this product and wanted to give it full stars, but I cannot seem to get it to output in album mode. I have many compilations, so I see the same album art over and over again. Is there any way to say, "Just export the albums"? [alert admin]

Photoshop Automator Action Pack 3.7 (Mac OS X)
Be advised that you need to fully understand the "Open" and "Render" actions to get your workflows to work. But it does many things not available in Automator. I highly recommend it. Note that this is the ONLY package that takes Spotlight Comments and transfers them to IPTC!! That alone was worth my donation dollar! [alert admin]

Boldt 24-Pack Volume II 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Designed for use on GarageBand 1, there may be more appropriate icons available in GB3 such as for the Sitar. This is, of course, no big deal to change. Also, the Ovation guitars are an octave low. Again, no big deal, just up the track's transpose to +12 and all is well. Such little things are not to be compared with these great additional instruments to your GarageBand arsenal. The Banjo and Accordions are welcome additions and saves me having to use less than great SoundFonts. So my rating for this will remain very high despite its few quirks. [alert admin]

Adobe Reader 8.0 (Mac OS X)
I appreciate how quickly Acrobat Reader 8 loads on Intel. Much faster than the dog 7. However, I still have no inline viewing ability within Firefox. [alert admin]

PDF Browser Plugin 2.2.3 (Mac OS X)
We have waited far too long for an Intel solution for viewing PDFs in our browsers. I still cannot view PDFs in Firefox! [alert admin]

MDR Accordion for GarageBand 1.0 (Mac OS X)
With Apple's failure to fix the DLSMusicDevice (which causes the dropping of SoundFonts) having an instrument in EXS is especially helpful. This is an excellent instrument with a simple installer. In fact, MDR's installer icon is better than Apple's instrument icon. [alert admin]

Movie Conversion Tools 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I was hoping to shy away from iTunes for my MP3 conversion. Alas, could not with this. This should be drag-n-drop instead of "launch and drag onto window". This would be a perfect app if you could launch it, then set custom settings. Close the app, then drag-n-drop onto the icon. That would be sweet! [alert admin]

The price is $40.00, but your review is accurate for the product.

So let me see if I get this straight. A free utility does not do what you want it to do, so you give it a poor rating. Instead, you find satisfaction with a $495 application? Man, there is something terribly wrong with that.

No, it will do what simple freeware renamers will do. In fact, having tried it, it does not rename them in order of how they are listed, its almost random. I have yet to figure out by what sequence it numbers my images.
