Feeder 2.0.6 (Mac OS X)

Excellent product

With a very little furtling this little beauty of an app has allowed me to set up my podcasts without having to move or change my blog. The included help files were very easy to understand and I (as a podcast numpty) was up and running very quickly indeed. I'm very happy with it, I'll definitely be keeping this one. [alert admin]

DVDpedia 2.1.6 (Mac OS X)

Excellent app

This is one of those rare finds - an excellent piece of software that does exactly what I want, in the way I like. I paid the fee within 10 mins of using it. I have over a 100 DVDs in my collection now and was not looking forward to doing all this by hand. The integration with iSight is magical. A very happy customer. [alert admin]

Mail Attachments Iconizer 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Thank you!

This has fixed the main problem I had with using Mail. It used to drive me potty when I sent a bunch of pics to someone to have them all drawn in the window; now I see a list of filenames instead. Much better! Well worth $6 to me. [alert admin]

Diet Diary 2.3.1 (Mac OS X)

Trial period not available

Despite claims that you can try this product free for 14 days, as soon as I tried to run it for the first time I was presented with a message saying that my trial period had expired I downloaded it at about 2pm and tried to use it at 4pm. That's the shortest 14 days I've ever had. [alert admin]

AutumnLeaves 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Leaves fall behind dock

If like me you are a bottom-docker, then you miss our on some of the good stuff. The leaves fall behind the dock, and every now and then you see a little chipmunk tail waving above the icons. I couldn't find a way to make the leaves land on the dock - anyone found a way of doing this? Otherwise - lovely. One star dropped for the dock frustration. [alert admin]

netTunes 2.1.1(999) (Mac OS X)

But... doesn't Rendezvous let you do this anyway?

I've got an Airport Express on order, I haven't tried this proggie yet. The thing that confuses me is, what is the benefit of using this over the built-in iTunes sharing over Rendezvous? If I'm using the iBook in the bedroom, I can use/control the iTunes library and playlists that live on the iMac in the sitting room without any extra software. Does this bring something extra to the party? BTW - I'm no knocking the software, after all I haven't tried it, I am just looking for info here. [alert admin]

Retropect 5.0238 and Panther

Manual back-ups seem to work OK, but the scripts to start a back-up over night have stopped working. Anyone have any ideas about this? Is it just me? [alert admin]

Connectix Virtual PC 6.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Printing with VPC and Panther

I've found that although I cannot print to a networked laser prnter, I can print directly to the Epson stylus connected by USB. I don't have the VPC machine owing the USB connection, it prints via the Mac. Has anyone found a way of getting a laser print? [alert admin]

mooDex 2.0 (Mac OS X)

At last! One…

of the things I really missed about OSX was not having QuickDex - I'd been using it since 1989. This does exactly what it says on the can and I can once again access my QuickDex Data. I have deducted one star for the amount of time taken for the app to launch. Otherwise all in all a fine piece of work. [alert admin]

iSEND IS FOR THE U.S. ONLY !!!

I wouldn't want to stop VT listing localalised widgets, but I do think they should be clearly indentified as such.

When local means USA

When I see 'local' I assume that there will be a setting I can change to mkae this local to me. This widget doesn't have that. Disappointing.

Does It Work?

Timbuktu lets you use the same license on several machines; we have one licence on the IT manager's machine and the other licence on all the other machines. As long as the two machines communicating are not using the same one there's no problem.
