TheRecipeManager 2.0.0 (Mac OS X)
There is no trial. I thought I would try and tell. I want to rush through this because a couple of my dislikes of the program has me not using it at all. Organization is flexible. I can create my own categories for foods which for me is awesome because I use recipes that fit several traditional categories depending upon their usage. I like this. It puts a data folder in my home document folder. I thought this was ugly to look at. They could have put it in my library under preferences or application support or something. It does not include the "servings" field on printouts. I wanted a program suited for professional needs (like it claims on its website). Not including a "servings" field on printouts for my cooks is not acceptable. It does not include a "yield" field. It does allow for a range in the "servings" field, but this helps little. I use recipes that yield, lets say 1 quart. The number of servings depends on the use (for appetizer of entrée). I was told that it could batch export. Yea, in its own format. It will also batch export in a text file, but as one single text file. Not too helpful for me. Seems like it could be good, but it misses the mark too much for my taste. Money down the disposal. Hope this helps others at least. [alert admin]

mise en place X 2.1 (Mac OS X)
Wow, someone that understands needing a 'Yield' field rather than a 'Servings' field. [alert admin]

NotePad 2.1 (Mac OS X)
All recent updates have only improved on this widget. Now having some control over fonts, I like it even more. Yes, having some integration with iLife apps would be nice, although I think there are other widgets for that purpose. This one is simple and does what it is supposed to. I have never lost any of my information due to a glitch or whatever. This widget just works. [alert admin]

Cocktail 3.7.2 (Mac OS X)
I have recently written the developer and am awaiting a response (recenntly as in within the hour). I was wondering if anyone has the same problem in the case that the developer does not respond or that they do not have an answer. I will post a response if I get one. Why do my menu icons disappear after I run *censored*tail and restart my machine? Applejack does it also. Onyx has not. What does this mean? [alert admin]

Groupcal 3.10 (Mac OS X)
Any good news on 3.1 and higher yet? Customer support improving after updating? Guess I should take it for a test drive but am afraid of it corrupting my current iCal setup. So, I wait for other brave souls to go before me... [alert admin]

Adobe Reader 7.0.7 (Mac OS X)
So, how is a complete uninstall of this bugger done if I change my mind in needing it? Plug-in's and all hidden gunk would be nice to remove instead of just dragging and dropping application in trash (unless that's really all you have to do). I am using Tiger 10.4.4 and have G4 processor. [alert admin]

I think you just go to the Macintosh HD Library, into Internet Plug-ins, and take the plug-in and drag it into the 'Disable Plug-in' folder.

The developer believes it is a cache cleaning issue, although he cannot duplicate the effects. We are working through this. It is nice to feel like I am being heard. Thanks *censored*tail.

iWork - especially Pages. Mac philosophy
To open a document in Times: Open a blank template document Change the font to times Go to 'File' and 'Save as Template' and save over blank template. That should work. You migh like to also tweak things like making the style 'free form' and eliminating hyphenations (in the inspector window). Hope this helps. Youur views align with mine. You state yourself well. Thanks.
