FruitMenu 3.7b4 (Mac OS X)
Disc image and Read Me file both say beta 4. Program files are beta 3. Which is correct? On a good note, the program has been functioning well for me through all the betas. [alert admin]

I believe this app is Intel only. Version 1.1 was Intel only. I would like to see this compiled as a Universal binary. [alert admin]

One year after I purchased this program, I paid $45 for two years of updates and it doesn't include the update for the application? Not cool. I don't think this was clear on the website. [alert admin]

Budget 5.3.2 (Mac OS X)
Budget offers many levels of use to its users. Beginners can simply use it as they would the physical envelope system, while more advanced users can assign portions of their weekly, by-weekly, or monthly pay to be dispersed to the appropriate categories at the assigned pay periods. (Frankly, I don't understand the previous poster's comment that it is "too hard to use" - it's much easier than the other software I have tried.) I have used this software for more than two years and it has proven invaluable, especially considering the inexpensive price tag. Using Budget I can quickly balanced my monthly account statement of over 50 transactions, often in less than one minute. Ron and Kyle have always responded promptly when I have had a question or comment. You can road test this program for free, and if you buy it and don't like it, they have a 60 day money-back guarantee for this program. [alert admin]

Printfolio 1.2 (Mac OS X)
For about $16 an application you get some of the finest software available. Art Text and Swift Publisher are a great combo for producing some pretty impressive publications. The other applications are stellar as well. [alert admin]

SOHO Organizer 6.2 (Mac OS X)
Launching and syncing problems are gone in SOHO Organizer 6.2. Word wrapping of items in the To-Do lists is a definite improvement. Movement through Calendar views is optimized as well. My need for linking, keywords, vCal export, and Palm sync are met in the newest build of Organizer. We are back to a software suite that is worth recommending. [alert admin]

SOHO Organizer 6.1.1 (Mac OS X)
To Revert back to Version 6.0.1
I also am having the "hang on launch" experience for the SOHO Organizer application with versions 6.1.0 and 6.1.1. The problem is that the database gets modified during the install and you can't simply reinstall 6.0.1. If you need get to your data before Chronos is able to post a fix, the following will help you to revert back to version 6.0.1 (which was a great product in terms of dependabliity). In your user/library/application support/chronos/previous version backups folder you will find an archive of your database before it was converted for version 6.1.0. Option-drag a COPY of the most recent database to your desk top. Run the 6.1.0 installer and choose the option to UNINSTALL the SOHO package. It will ask if you are certain you want to remove Open Base. Choose yes. It will not remove the backup files in the user/library/application support/chronos/ folders. Next reinstall SOHO Notes or Organizer 6.0.1 and open the application. It will create a new database and may sync all of your data back into the database. If it does not, choose File > Restore Database > From a File... and navagate to the Pre-converted database on your desktop. This should restore your data and make it usable until the Chronos guys get 6.1.2? out to fix the issue. Best regards, Ron [alert admin]

SOHO Organizer 5.7.0b2 (Mac OS X)
Don't let the single iteration in the version number influence your evaluation of version 5.7.0. It is a major update to the SOHO product. The new day, week, and month views are a significant improvement. Yes, the early versions of this were inadequate. You really should look at this version before you form your opinions. This is a beta, but it really beats any of the other version numbers I’ve tried. [alert admin]

Accordance 7.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
The folks at OakTree Software have consistently produced cutting edge Bible study software for the Macintosh that is unsurpassed by any package on any platform. I know -- I own copies of Libronix for windows and several other less well-known packages for both platforms. None of them can compare with the flexibility of searches offered, the speed of the package, or the intuitive nature of the user interface. The software engineers have produced a stellar package with the newest offering. The new features of version 7 take Accordance well beyond any other application on the market. The new analysis graphs, slide-show function, search by root, arrange by module, and the highlighting feature expanded to include all modules -- just to list a few new features -- have made the newest version well worth the minimal upgrade fee. If you insist on the best Bible study package available, you really must try this application. While you can get in at entry level for about $39, an adequate package for the serious Bible student will cost at least several hundred dollars. I do hope the folks at OakTree will offer some larger, more inexpensive packages in the future. [alert admin]

Guess I didn't read the listing well. But still, the zip file does not expand with Stuffit Expander.

Frankee, I am also a "loyal user" who has paid for every upgrade of Accordance since version 3. Every version upgrade was well worth its price in terms of new features and enhancements. When I consider the hundreds or even thousands of hours that have gone into the development of the application, I have never balked at the modest upgrade fees. Many software companies have graduated upgrade paths similar to OakSoft. If you really feel…

I understand your frustration with 6.1.0 and 6.1.1. But there is an update out that I have found to be reliable. I believe you would find it satisfactory.
