Bad link, I got an error. The app may be freeware but the service is not. You can send 100 mB for free but if you need to send bigger files using YouSendit you need a monthly subscription. [alert admin]

Perian 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Got flv playing in QuickTime  

Couldn't play Flash flv in QuickTime, managed to do it after installing Perian. [alert admin]

IP in menubar 4.0 (Mac OS X)

Worked at first but then...  

IP in menubar worked for a while, even in Leopard, but suddenly it refused to show the external IP. It only started showing the local IP and I could find no way to change that. So I had to resort to BwanaDik, which works well, but you have to click first to see your IP address. IPmenu works well too, but the same thing: you've got to click. Hope to find an app again with the external IP address straight in the menu bar. [alert admin]

Dantz Retrospect 6.0.204 (Mac OS X)

Update impossible  

I acquired Retrospect Express 5 for Mac OSX (Panther) when I bought a Maxtor external hard disk. EMC Dantz was so kind to send me a license code for an upgrade to 6. The upgrade to 6.0.193 was succesful, but an upgrade to 6.0.204 proved impossible. At EMC Dantz they couldn't help me on this issue, they said the upgrade should be possible, but I keep on getting a message that my data could not be validated. Strange, as if Retrospect Express 6.0.193 is another product than Retrospect 6.0.204. [alert admin]
