Beware of Molecules 3.2 (Mac OS X)

Great overall

If you just need to know a molecule's molecular weight, there is nothing better! It has a great database of known molecules, you can add your own, and it generally saves a lot of time over any other program I've used...and it's free! [alert admin]

You Control 1.2.4 (Mac OS X)

I like v.1.2.3

I use only the You Control Tunes portion. Version 1.2.3 was great. Unfortunately the 1.2.4 version simply does not work. It crashes, it doesn't put the correct icon in the bar, and it eventually freezes my computer. I went back to 1.2.3, a very solid release. Note that my review is only for version 1.2.4 [alert admin]

Strata 3Dpro 3.9.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Thanks, Strata!

Finally, a StrataPro update that enables OpenGL accelleration! The installation of this update is a bit difficult. You must have v. 3.8, including the installation CD. Install the 3.9 update (I missed that one in September) first, then launch it with the 3.8 CD in the drive and re-enter the serial number. Then quit, and install the 3.9.1 update. It runs significantly faster, especially with OpenGL objects. [alert admin]

I haven't noticed…

any changes in the update but why would they cripple the installer so it can only update your Keynote if it's loose in the Applications folder? [alert admin]

America Online (AOL) 5.0 (Mac OS X)

I am still…

totally unable to download this. I don't currently have AOL on my Mac, so I can't download it that way (since this is the first AOL that works on OS-X); when I try to download using a PC, it tells me I need Windows 2000 or XP. Why bother listing this if it is a useless link? [alert admin]

America Online (AOL) 5.0 (Mac OS X)

So, you can…

download the AOL browser as long as you already have a working AOL browser. Catch-22, anyone? [alert admin]

Buy out For Sell-out

While I agree that it looks like a sell-out, it's Apple doing it...to everyone. Apple wants you to only use iTunes to record your music CDs. (Of course, you can re-import those you burned with iTunes if you want, then burn them to CD using Toast or Jam...)
