BeComposed 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)

Amazing

This is absolutely stunning. I have been using this Visualizer for a while now, and every time I open it I am amazed at the eye candy on my screen. There are lots of options to fiddle around with and it runs extremely smooth even with quality and settigs set to max (running on Core Duo MBP). A must have and must see for ANY Mac owner. BitRocket 0.1(22) (Mac OS X)

Buckle your seatbelt!

This app is great. Simple as that. Lightning fast downloads (downloads faster than other Torrent clients I have tried on my MBP) and very simple UI. A few bugs still. Slow startup for me - the wheel spins for quite some time sometimes... The RSS feed finally works for me in this build - great feature, hopefully the developer will take this feature a bit further. Overall great app. Has much coming to us, I am sure. [alert admin]

Space Wars 3D Screensaver 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Pretty cool but...

Cool screensaver. Graphics are quite nice on the the spaceships. Would be nice to see some better backgrounds like planets, black holes, etc. Camera angles are a bit weird at times, and not plesent for the eye to look at the screen when the camera is focuses closely on a spaceship and twirling around it. Also, the price... I guess I am cheap, but there are tonnes of Apps out there for free, or for less than $9.95. I would never pay $9.95 for a screensaver. Maybe a free version with less ships and no ads all over the screen all the time. And a "Pro" version with all ships (planets and more). [alert admin]

Apple Mania 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Bandwidth usage exceeded...

To developer: I was looking forward checking out this one, but was met with a dotmac website saying your bandwidth usage has exceeded. Could you host this file elsewhere? [alert admin]

iTheater RC1 (Mac OS X)

Pretty cool

Looks nice... I like the idea. Well, it's taken from Apple's Front Row. I'll just comment on a few things: - Small graphics. Too much blue space. How about some larger icons and text, so you can see it from across the room. That's what a media centre is all about. Otherwise I would just use the different apps when I am in front of my Mac. - Weather feature is a great idea! But I can't find the settings to change F to C and change city, etc... - Doesn't seem to read my iTunes library very well. I have about 200 albums in my library, it takes long until they appear, and then it just freezes. Look forward checking out coming editions. Good luck and good work! [alert admin]

MilkyWay 1.4 (Mac OS X)

I don't get it.

All this program does is show the pictures when you click once on them. You can rotate them and what not, but for what good? Preview does that just fine. And the images are larger. And I can already see thumbnails of me images in Finder. I don't even know if this software is a nice idea, I don't really get the point. Sorry. OS X 10.4.4 [alert admin]

iSquint 1.1 (Mac OS X)

1.1 Universal seems slower on G5

iMac 2.0 GHz G5 model... Downloaded the new Universal Binary and it slowed the conversion down a lot... Also, the ffmpeg and x264 processes seemed to take more computing power, and my fans went crazy. So a comment for G5 owners, you might want to consider sticking with the 1.0 version for now. At least until upgrades are available that would improve encoding on "old" Macs or something. Thanks for a GREAT software though. Quality is great, speed is blazing, and it does the job well! eXo Visualizer 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Great software. Will look forward to updates.

Neat visualizer. I miss some cool visualizers for iTunes! Totally recommended for anyone who loves to see the music on their screen! Higher resolution in fullscreen perhaps. When I go fullscreen the res is lower than a large visualizer window in iTunes. [alert admin]

Skype 1.3.0.17 (Mac OS X)

Strange and loud noise after 30 seconds!

I love Skype, I wish more of my friends would use it. I live overseas from most of them, so it's a great way and a FREE way to keep in touch! I changed to Mac some months back and am pleased with Skype being the only "Chat" software that's actually up-to-date compared to the Windows version. I wish it had the same feature as on the Windows version where it searches for your friends online by using your Address Book *Hint to Skype* Also, I am experiencing a big problem. When I start a conversation, after 30 seconds a very loud and awful noise starts on my end only. Now, my line-in is busted on my iMac, and I am using a small USB line-in hardware. Does anybody else have this problem? Thanks to Skype for making a free and incredible great product! [alert admin]

Nice update, but adds to icon confusion in the dock…

I hear you on the dark grey, quite melancholy colour of the new UI... I sure don't hope this is a "hidden" preview of what's we can expect for Leopard... I hope they will stick with Aqua, 'cause iTunes v7 looks like a UI theme for Windows or something. Believe me, it's nice to get rid of the graphic memory-heavy brushed metal look in many of the apps, but I am hoping for another UI…

True, but iChat isn't bad.

I hear you. And I would like the same. But iChat isn't bad. I had never seen the picture and sound in sync and in real-time until I saw it on iChat. If your friends are on a Mac, you might as well use iChat.. I am not sure whether the webcams on PC (USB) are fast enough when it comes to video. Also, I find that iChat does a great job with sound. No echo.…

Still slow

Bittorrent was always slow for me. Certain times I could get 20+ kbps like you. I thought that was normal for downloading Torrent files. Then I checked out Azureus. It says I don't have proper NAT settings, I have done everything but can't solve it. Azureus still downloads files way faster. Sometimes I get 40+ kbps with it. And of course more when downloading several torrents..

Spotlight is gold!

Uhm, you decided Spotlight was not for you without even giving it a shot? Seriously, sure you can find your documents, apps, files and what not fast, but Spotlight does it way faster. You should really give it a go before deciding it is worthless. Spotlight does not have few fans out there, there are tons. And for a good reason! If ever you need to open up an app fast, press Apple key + Space bar,…
