TrailRunner 1.9.1v366 (Mac OS X)

Application becomes unresponsive on launch

The last two version (365 & 366) immediately become unresponsive on launch. Consume 98 percent of CPU. Unable to sample using Activity Monitor. Previous versions seemed OK. [alert admin]

Mori 1.6.5 (Mac OS X)

Be sure to keep a backup of your previous application (1.6.4 or prior)

Using Mac OS 10.4.10 on a MacBook Pro, I'm unable to open any of my prior notebooks with version 1.6.5. Luckily I had a zipped copy of 1.6.3 that I could revert to. [alert admin]

Scrivener 1.10 (Mac OS X)

Mega useful

Take a look at the main Scrivener page with its link to the screencast:

http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener.html

Then download and give it a test drive.

Be sure to visit the active and helpful forums.

The above justify a five star rating!!!

Hope you find Scrivener as useful as I do.

TextSoap 5.7 (Mac OS X)

Extremely useful

Performs functions that are useful to me. I use it multiple times per day. Services menu operations are extremely convenient. Combine Menu Master from Unsanity (to assign keystrokes to a service menu item) with a QuicKeys toolbar to execute the keystroke to have a text cleaning system within applications such as Scrivener, Mori or DEVONthink Pro. Give it a test drive Bob Adventures in time: http://homepage.mac.com/bobembry/free/ Blog: http://homepage.mac.com/bobembry/iblog/ [alert admin]

Trapper Keeper 1.0b (Mac OS X)

Have Activity Monitor handy (to force quit)

Launching this application puts only an icon in the menu bar -- no drop down menu. After I typed in the text field a strip dropped below the text input area. The strip contained several icons. Didn't see a Quit button I clicked on the preference icon and Trapper Keeper started consuming CPU and disk space--never reached the preference settings. When I was finally able to access Activity Monitor it had taken up over 500mb of additional virtual memory and was using 70%+ of CPUs. If you decide to uninstall don't forget to remove Trapper Keeper from Accounts > login items preference pane [alert admin]
