SilverFast Ai - Epson Expression 6.6.0r5 (Mac OS X)
I have yet to get this software to work correctly since I bought it several months ago. I get kernel panics constantly, buttons disappear, random app freezes, corrupt scan files if I'm lucky to get any out. I've spent many days trying to make it work, tech support's canned responses are of no value and just waste even more of my time. It never works over Firewire on my V700. I used to love this software, thought it was the best, but Snow Leopard and the newer Photoshop versions are not Silverfast's friend. I can scan easily and without a flaw with the Epson scan software and Vuescan, they always see the scanner, they don't freeze and I can get my work done. In its current iteration, I would now say this is the worst Mac software on the face of the earth. [alert admin]

Client Folder Maker 3.0 (Mac OS X)
If you like to make a consistent set of working on projects, this is a great, easy to use and reliable PrefPane/Context Menu item. Saves time and is very flexible. I haven't seen an update for this in a long time, but the new features are fantastic. [alert admin]

Gothic Rapidweaver Theme 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Gothic is one of the classic 3rd party RW themes, and one of the handful that don't look like a typical RW theme. Whatever the name, this one is highly variable, and makes a great foundation for an attractive creative site. [alert admin]

Capture One PRO 3.7.8 (Mac OS X)
Strange, I've been using version 4 of the non-pro version, and I thought the pro version was also at 4. Version 4 is a major, major update that looks entirely different and runs great on Intel. If you're in the market for this, I'd wait for the 4 version since your purchase price includes a limited number of updates. [alert admin]

Direct Mail 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
This is a great and feature packed upgrade to slickest and easiest app of its type for Mac. I'm very impressed, and it's been amazingly easy to send out several trial mailings over the past few days. Seems very stable, and the new features are well worth the upgrade price. [alert admin]

PhotoPresenter 3.0 (Mac OS X)
This cool app is the easiest way to make a reliable multimedia show, and it has lots of extras. Amazing price, too. I use it to create presentations for my photo classes and clients. I own all the similart apps that I know of, but when I need to get things done fast, and make it a great show, this one can't be beat. [alert admin]

NewsFire 1.4 (v69) (Mac OS X)
Great app until you need help. The internet registration system appears to only work on one computer; if your computer dies and you try to move your apps to another computer, this one will fail to register. Not a big problem, but the developer is too much of a jerk to answer help requests to reset the values so I can use the app. I've emailed more than once over the past few weeks with never a response. There's nothing worse than software with no support, so I'm moving on to something better... [alert admin]

TabMeister 2.0.3 (Mac OS X)
I own lots of launchers, but this one has become my favorite. Not bloated with confusing options, nice looking, stable. Just wish it had support for two monitors. [alert admin]

I don't think you can call it a ripoff since the old developer has always clearly stated that future versions would be shareware. The app has been rewritten and looks quite nice, actually. I wish the cost were a bit lower, like $10, but I think software creators should have a right to make money from their invested time and efforts.

Wow, I installed this and now my Safari won't even open. Used it before without a problem, maybe it's a conflict with another Safari plug-in.

Thanks for the developers reply to this bizarre and groundless accusation made above. My impression (and experience) is that this fantastic software comes from a reliable and trustworthy company that is out to help their users, not damage them. If someone is that paranoid about putting their list online in a secure fashion, then don't use the company's server function, use your own; it's all possible with this software. I personally keep my lists in…

I own WriteRoom, and several other apps that have a full screen writing feature. I use WriteRoom exclusively because I like its UI, and its plugin ability to use with multiple applications. It's really brilliant.

Forgot to add: the pro SanDisk Extreme III cards come with a free license for PhaseOne regular edition. You can then use that code to upgrade to pro for a discount, and at least get a "free" memory card out of the deal... .

Nice! Nice to see you have an open and far reaching mind, unlike some of the other commenters here... . I'm glad to see VersionTracker believes in freedom.
