Simple To Do 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)
The program is easy to use, has a basic but useful help system and appears to do all that the developers claim it will do. The options available through "preferences" make it quite flexible. [alert admin]

ScreenSteps 2.0.3 (Mac OS X)
This was a very useful product at the time I did my first review and it continues to improve. The support from the developers is quick and useful. The companion product ScreenStepsLive (a web site to which you can download lessons you have created in ScreenSteps) is easy to use and flexible. The feedback I have received from the lessons I posted is very positive. I highly recommend Screensteps - it is good value. [alert admin]

ResizeIt 2.1.2 (Mac OS X)
This simple application does what it claims - resizes images. On the PLUS side it is simple, fast, handles RAW image files, produces a reasonable quality JPEG file and it is free. On the MINUS side it quits after each batch conversion (even if there is only one file being converted) and it does not seem to recognise that some files are in "portrait" orientation - it produces only "landscape" orientation images. As an alternative (but not free) I suggest SIZEROX. [alert admin]

ScreenSteps 2.0.1r13 (Mac OS X)
I indicated in my earlier posting that the developer promised an update to fix the small problem I identified. That update was delivered within 3 hours of my first email to the developer. You can't ask for better service than that! If all software developers were like this it would be a wonderful world. [alert admin]

ScreenSteps 2.0.1r13 (Mac OS X)
I downloaded this software to try it before buying. I created a small test file (which was very easy as the software does exactly what the online tutorial says it will do). I was very pleased with the results. When I came to export the lesson file, it would export as HTML put not as PDF. I sent an email to the support centre and received a reply within 10 minutes. Over the next hour we exchanged several emails and the developer had identified the problem and promised to put out a maintenance update to solve the problem. Meanwhile he gave me sufficient information to allow me to avoid the problem (and save PDFs) in other lessons that I develop. I am very pleased with the results I am achieving with the product and it is quick and easy to use. I had previously been producing "lessons" about Photoshop and building them in to Powerpoint presentations. ScreenSteps produces better results in a fraction of the time. [alert admin]
