Gutenprint 5.0.0rc2 (Mac OS X)
HP LaserJet 1100- good in a pinch 
I have an HP LaserJet 1100 and couldn't find a driver for it on the HP site. Gutenprint doesn't actually contain a specific driver for it either, but I found that the LaserJet III driver works sufficiently well for my needs. I am running MacOS 10.3 (Panther). Installation was simple and configuration instructions clear and thorough. [alert admin]

If a driver for your model cannot be found on the HP driver download page, try Gutenprint 5.0 from this site. I have an HP LaserJet 1100 that works well with the LaserJet III driver in Gutenprint. If your specific model is not listed, try a few of of the drivers for other LaserJet models.
