Rage iWeb SEO 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)
Does what it says, for a market who can't do it for themselves, for free! ![]()

I'm of the belief that most people using iWeb do not know, or care to know, what meta tags, alt image text, or proper page titles and descriptions can do for their page rankings in search engines. If someone were to tell them that it matters, and it does, I'm of the belief that they would be completely clueless as to how to do anything about it. That's why they're using iWeb. Enter Rage iWeb SEO. It makes the addition of keywords, descriptions, page titles and alt image text as easy - or easier - than building and posting a page with iWeb. It also allows you to designate language choices and to direct spiders as to whether a page should be indexed and whether pages should be followed. All things that Apple might have thought to include in iWeb for the benefit of their customers. Certainly I will recommend it to anyone I know who is using iWeb. Why wouldn't you? [alert admin]

iConcertCal 2.2 (Mac OS X)
I don't know why there are no reviews. I've been using this nifty iTunes add on for a long, long time. It's a great way to keep track of concerts in town by the artists you like. Never a problem with this. Priced right! [alert admin]

Two gigabytes of secure online storage for no cost. Getting it to run on my 10.4.11, G4 system took a little monkeying around. The app hung several times but once I got it working it has worked like clockwork. [alert admin]

TinnitusTamer 3.0.5 (Mac OS X)
This product may or may not work. I would bet that the results vary widely among users. Tinnitus is a complex problem that, according to the doctors with whom I have consulted, has no <i>real</i> known cures but that some people find <i>relieved</i> from a wide array of practices, including forms of noise generation. So, efficacy of the product notwithstanding: Why - in a product that has been on the market for OVER 4 YEARS - does this thing not have an export to iPod function? The instructions actually say that we could TAPE RECORD the output and then RIP it to a digital file! TAPE RECORD? Jeez, I think I left my TAPE RECORDER in the pocket of my LEISURE SUIT. Come on! A product that requires EARBUDS that is meant to be used while relaxing... I'm supposed to plug my earbuds into my computer - no small feat in itself, and which would require an extension cord as well - and then RELAX while SITTING AT MY DESK? Such a complete lack of awareness and accommodation of the necessary user experience in the year 2008 leaves me wondering about the developer's commitment to the product and what else the developer is unaware of that may be relevant to relieving tinnitus. Date Difference 1.1 (Mac OS X)
... I could put in the number of days in the interval, and have it give me the date. Working with 15, 30, 90 and sometimes 120 day deadlines is always a pain when I have to count ahead in iCal. It works just fine for me on a G4 Dual 1GHz, 10.4.11 [alert admin]

iVolume 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)

iVolume had been an essential for me, but this version will certainly not be. The inability to simply choose which tracks I'd like to adjust is an absolute non-starter. What if I just want to adjust a half dozen tracks, right now? I don't want to go through my whole library! I don't want to create special groups! Why, if we can recognize an iTunes Library, can we not recognize iTunes playlists, like so many other iTunes integrated apps? Then I could just have an iVolumize list... Why must it load my whole library? Why must it slowly scroll through all the tracks that it has already done before it gets to the ones it needs to do? I'm on an old G4 Dual 1GHz so maybe the speed is my issue, but I would not call this blazingly fast. It would certainly be faster if it didn't laboriously load the whole library, scroll through all that it has done and then start trudging away at a list who's content and order I can't control. Very, very disappointed in the changes that results in a version with absolutely <b>NO PERCEIVABLE BENEFITS</b> and <b>100% DETRIMENT</b> to functionality and ease of use, but really shocked and disappointed by the illogic of instituting such radical changes without some kind of testing, survey or warning! SoftSkies 1.3.1 (Mac OS X)
I was going to write a sarcastic review about how hard it is to find new ways to do something with the piles of extra money I have lying around, but why bother?
Maybe if I were willing to shell out $20 or $30 for a real look at this thing I might see something of value, but this so-called demo is so crippled, and the reminders that it is a demo so obtrusive, that I just want this boring and obnoxious thing off my desktop. It's just plain lame that there are so many supposed bells and whistles that you can't even get a look at without ponying up an exorbitant amount of money for a visualizer.
That aside, how is it as a visualizer? As another reviewer said: boring. Just not impressive. The built-in visualizers are more interesting and Jumping Steve is way more entertaining. Granted one man's meat is another man's poison. Nonetheless, even if it's your meat, this ground chuck is being sold at a tenderloin price.
Perhaps the "patent pending" cloud rendering is worth some money to CGI programmers, but this is a freakin' iTunes visualizer. Gimme a break. It's clouds. I'm going to pay $30 for clouds? Not in this lifetime.
As donation ware, this might merit a couple of bucks. Might. [alert admin]

I agree. I know a law firm in Boston that had an eerily similar experience.

Harold - I'd really like to hear how you manage to handle retainers within your system. I like iBiz, but have not been able to get it to properly handle/account for advance payments against which I bill my time, and which need to be replenished on a monthly basis. If I use the retainer function, my billing gets screwed up. If I use the billing & payment features, my retainers get screwed up. Timeslips did this…

The policy and attitude of Qdea is reprehensible. An issue like yors is NOT a tech suppport issue. It should be addressed in a FAQ at their site, but they insist on artificially propping up their price through lame service and attitude. Here's a way to get it working again: Delete every trace of Synch Pro and Qddea from your computer including the folder "~/Library/Preferences/Synchronize! X", and the file ~/Library/Preferences/com.qdea.syncprox.plist. Restart your Mac - there's some autosync…

I don't know if is a connection problem or a VT problem. There should have been only one post, and for the multiple repetitions I apologize. If you have learned 3 languages then you of all people should understand that all words do not mean the same thing to different people. I rely on context. In the context of this use, I was not shocked or offended. When I am, I speak up, but unless I KNOW…
