PixClip 0.03c (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
This is a very well designed tool, and it it works great. It offers the option to load at Windows at startup and for the canvas to be activated via a keyboard short cut. It's very easy to use, and there is no need to read any documentation. It just works they way one would expect. I would recommend the following improvements to make this tool even better: - Add an option to automatically open a save dialog after capturing a frame if the users prefers that over just copying the fame to the clipboard and then having to select to save the image. - Add a second keyboard short cut to capture the entire screen (and depending on the selection for the option above, to open a save dialog after capturing the screen). - Offer an option to save the frame in a lossless format (i.e. TIFF or BMP) aside from JPEG. This is important for situation where one would want a pixel-accurate copy of what's on screen. Keep up the good work! I wish more programmers would publish their tools as freeware. I have seen shareware and even commercial screen capture tools that don't work as well as PixClip. [alert admin]

DHCP not renewing automacially
I just uprgraded the firmware today. The upgrading process worked fine, but only after power cycling the router and cable modem the router got an IP and I was able to use the internet. About an hour later I noticed that I couldn't access the internet anymore. I logged on to the router with the browser to see what the problem was. I noticed that it said "DHCP remaining time: 0:00:00". After I clicked 'DHCP renew", I got my connection back and the router indicated that the DHCP was good for anouther hour. Once that hour expired, I couldn't reach the internet anymore. I had to manually renew DHCP. I wonder if someone had the same experience. I will try to upload the older firmware (1.45.7), provided I can find it anywhere. [alert admin]

By "ANSI control key" I assume you mean the ESC key? As the product description states, CoolTerm is not supposed to be a terminal emulation (and therefore will not interpret ANSI escape sequences), but rather a means of communicating with hardware connected to serial ports. As such, pressing the ESC key will cause a character with ASCII code 27 to be sent, which is the intended behavior. I'm sorry if the description is misleading.

This name for an app has already been taken
That is correct, and I realized that when the author of the other app contacted me earlier today. I will change the name somewhat when posting the next release to avoid confusion between the two apps.

DHCP not renewing automacially
I'm posting this as a follow-up: I downgraded the router back to 1.45.7, and DHCP works again. In fact, after renewing DHCP, it says it's good for 23:59:59 hours. There is definitely something different with 1.45.11, it may just be a compatibility issue with my ISP. However, I'm going to stick with 1.45.7 until the next update.
