YamiPod - does exactly what it promises 
YamiPod backs up audio iPod files and does so surprisingly quickly. It can back up individual songs or albums. The program also allows you to transfer songs onto the iPod as well. Other (less used ) functions include : creating playlists, playing the iPod through the computer, and more (I use it basically for back up). The program is extremely easy to use. It is free. And it doesn't require installation - just unzip and put the file where you want. Also, uninstallation simply requires deleting the file. I am NOT affiliated with the company - I just love this program - see no reason to pay for a similar product. Remember - YamiPod handles audio files only - not video. [alert admin]
