Gradient Panel 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)
The panel is very nice and all, however I would be very reluctant to use this framework as it's closed source and there is no obvious way to get ongoing support and no guarantee that bugs will be fixed in a timely fashion. If it was open source it would be a different story. [alert admin]

Postfix Enabler for Panther 1.0.10 (Mac OS X)
Postfix stopped working when I installed Tiger and there doesn't appear to be a Tiger-compatible version of Postfix Enabler available, unfortunately. [alert admin]

MacGPS Pro 5.6.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Works well although UI is not ideal ![]()

This is the only Mac GPS application that really works well with all types of scanned maps. The support is excellent, I had problems with a GeoTIFF file that used unusual tags and the developer had supplied me with a new build that fixed the problem within a day. The main gripe I have is that the UI is fairly clunky, it has obviously been updated from a Mac OS 9 codebase with few changes and needs an overhaul. The floating dialogs would be much better incorporated into the main map screen so that there is less window switching. The preferences also need to be consolidated into one place rather than being spread around the menu system. I'd also like to see "live" updating of the position of the mouse cursor a la OziExplorer on Windows. However, if you want to use your GPS with topo maps on a Mac then this is the solution that you're looking for. I successfully uploaded and downloaded tracks, routes and waypoints and it worked very well. [alert admin]

BBAutoComplete 1.3 (Mac OS X)
This is an incredibly handy app, I wish I'd known about it earlier. Makes typing complex class names so much easier. Great stuff. [alert admin]

RegExTest 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Seems to work just fine for me too. Very nice utility for live testing of RegExp matches. If I get much use out of it I will definitely pay the fee. I'd like to be able to highlight matches with a background color as well as/rather than a text colour and I'd also like to choose both bold and underline at the same time. [alert admin]

Apple G5 firmware 5.1.4 (Mac OS X)
The update worked perfectly and as described. I have noticed that my fans now do not spin so loudly when the processor is under load so the machine is quieter. The quick spin of the fans at boot or wake from sleep is much quieter too. Great update. [alert admin]

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)
Problems with Panther/G5/Radeon 9800
I am using a dual 2GHz G5 with an OEM Radeon 9800 and since I upgraded to Panther I am having weird OpenGL artifact problems in Ghost Recon. The worst problem is when using the night vision goggles when I get artifacts all over the screen. Anyone else? [alert admin]

first graphical MySQL tool that does the job for me. I love it, it's fantastic. GREAT work. phpMyAdmin is great but constrained by the web interface: this tool looks goods and works well, with a well-designed Mac OS X interface. I would pay for this tool, it's worth it. [alert admin]

OmniWeb 4.1.1 (Mac OS X)
useless without proper CSS and DOM support, I'm afraid. It's been promised for years and we're still waiting. [alert admin]

Actually, it's probably because he/she is using an outdated graphics card to drive the second monitor. Cards that don't have native OS X drivers will not work properly in Panther.
