Pastor 1.6 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Keep Pastor Secure - Security Over Convenience
I have used Pastor since first appeared on VT, it's a great little app. scifiguy -"recent files" would give easy access to files that contain sensitive info. Sure it would be more convenient, but much less secure in my opinion. I keep my Pastor files in an obscure place so that they aren't easily associated with Pastor. With an option like “recent files” an unscrupulous person would only have to open Pastor (if it had the option) and there are the files to try open, or copy and take off your machine. Maybe having this as an option in preferences to turn on a “recent files menu” as an option would be ok, but it should be off by default. Also. I have noticed that Pastor files have an icon that is a clue to what program will open the file. Having this changed to something more generic would make Pastor even more secure. Mac Num (Box O' Rox Soft.) I agree with you Keep Pastor secure, and make it more, not less secure. P.R. [alert admin]

I tried this in Mac OS X but it bogs down in battle. I can't recommend it for OS X (10.2.5) but... it works great in Mac OS 9, I havent' tried Classic yet. Fun game! [alert admin]

I have been using this for just one day (single player mode) and as soon as you get into a heavy battle with multiple creatures (Archers) everything bogs down really slow...too bad! other aspects of this game are really cool but to have it bog down in battle is no good. I can't imagine how frustrating trhis would be on battlenet, I won't even try. I'm running on a Powerbook Ti 667 mhz, 512-RAM I hope there is a solution (other than going to a windows machine) coming up. If there is a workaround out there, clue me in...please! ( I won't hold my breath ) [alert admin]

Epson EPL-5700i 1.3aE (Mac OS X)
to 4 times slower than OS 9 printing be acceptable! (easy answer...it can't) Also... I was told by EPSON:"The issue with the printer printing slow is due to the driver being used in 10.2. The EPL-5700i does not have a driver for 10.2 this is why it prints slower". And yet on the EPL-5700i support page it says this:"Macintosh OS X epson10509.sea.hqx - 16.4MB - posted on 11/12/02 This installer file contains the Epson EPL-5700i Printer Driver v1.3aE for Macintosh OS X (version 10.1.3 to 10.2). This installer will place a folder on your desktop labeled "epson10509". Open the folder and the .dmg file inside. A disk image with the printer name will be created on your desktop. Open the disk image and the installer.pkg file inside to install the printer driver. This file is for use with Macintosh OS X (v10.1.3 - 10.2) only." Wake up EPSON!!!!, YOU BLOATED GIANT!!! Camino 0.7.0 (Mac OS X)
moved from Chimera to Camino, imported my bookmark directly from Chimera and at first things worked great, As soon as I quit and then restarted Camino it lost all bookmarks and refused to import the same bookmarks file I imported before, somethings up with this version. Overall a great browser and always on my dock. [alert admin]
