Scheduler for Macintosh 5.0.7 (Mac OS X)
OK, so what's going on with this Application????
I installed it a month ago and was pleased with it. Then it demanded that I register the program, which I attempted to do, with the required information. However, each time I tried to send that to the email address provided, the email bounced. Now I cannot schedule things I want to open at particular times and I can't contact the developer. PLEASE make your mailbox accessible!! It seems like a good program but it's now broken till I get a registration. Developer - help!!!! if it's only going to work for one month then how can I recommend it? [alert admin]

Sequoia 1.7 (Mac OS X)
OK, What the hell is going on with this program???
Downloaded this a while back and thought I'd try it tonight. When I opened it, it turned the screen black, and then nothing... SO... I Command-Tabbed to get back to Finder and Force Quit the application. went to Get Info on it and found it was described as for a PowerPC, not my MacPro Quad Core. So, I thought I must have made a mistake when I downloaded it weeks ago, so went and got a fresh copy that it claimed was for Intel machines. Opened it - and the result was exactly the same. Obviously others are using it, but it seems from what they have said it is pretty buggy. So, Program Designer, why does either version fail to open on a perfectly good top of the range Intel machine that generally has very few problems? [alert admin]

DroPic! 0.3 (Mac OS X)
Simple and clean, and provides good options - well done! Agree that batch operations would be nice.... this is going to my desktop! [alert admin]

Contenta-Converter Basic 4.5 (Mac OS X)
If there was a problem before with its being shareware or otherwise, it no longer exists. If you click on the download for the basic model it certainly gives you a freeware one with fewer options than the pro one - which seems to me to be a fair way of doing things. The basic version seems to do everything it says it will. I find that its graphic representation of what's happening with your images is useful. [alert admin]

SyncTwoFolders 1.4.0 (Mac OS X)
I use the Intel version so I have no issues with its development on other platforms, but this program, once set up, runs beautifully for me. I have two very complicated folders to synch and it does it with no fuss and as far as I can see 100% accuracy, limiting itself only to changed files. If you are a first time user, then test carefully for the results you want. Once you are satisfied with that, you should have no problems. [alert admin]

JHostMonitor 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Strange. I put in the correct IP addresses and the program claims the networked computers are offline. They aren't. Why is it giving a false reading? [alert admin]

Scharping 1.0 (Mac OS X)
The documentation says that this product works only with iTunes and hasn't been tested on external drives. I have a fairly noisy external drive and I opened a CD using QuickTime Player, and was pleased to hear that Scharping worked with both that CD player and with QuickTime Player. It also works with Flock (the browser) so I imagine it works with others. It certainly keeps the drive quiet - it's like playing a CD using the internal drive, only much quieter. I could barely hear the drive at all. [alert admin]

MyPopBarrier 2.4.9 (Mac OS X)
This is an indispensable program for me as I need to clear mail from several servers regularly. It always ran a bit slowly but I didn't mind as I was more interested in getting unwanted mail deleted. Maybe I am imagining it, but the latest version seems to be running much faster than earlier ones. Thanks to the developer - this is a very useful program. [alert admin]

JollysFastVNC 0.96.42 build 1898 (Mac OS X)
I can't comment on versions in other languages, but I have to say I regard this program as absolutely essential for managing my computers effectively with one keyboard. I have two computers and three screens, and often a MacPro is running in one window, the Mac Mini in another, and WinXP in another via Parallels - and using this program, the three work seamlessly from the one keyboard. It is fast, problems encountered with updates are looked into (and solved!) by the developer very quickly, and has given me very little problem over the years. And it's free! It's a GREAT program in my opinion. [alert admin]

That's all I want to say - this is THE program to use to fix problems from outside MACOSX and I hated not having it for Leopard for so long. Just terrific to keep your computer in good order. [alert admin]

Which planet are you on? Clearly you understand nothing of how and why this program works as it does. There is no better program I know for quickly sorting, zapping and arranging news. It's brilliant!

Works fine on mine! You guys who have issues with Google and Macs ought to give them a chance to develop this browser. If you pan them like you are, then you will turn people away from their product before they start, and you'll have a self-fulfilling prophecy - they will not have any incentive to support Macs properly. Let's see what they can do, but hell, let's at least give them some encouragement to…

The fact that the app is free but the service may cost something over the 100 meg limit sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Why shouldn't they make some money for providing you with a service you wouldn't get elsewhere for free?

Wish versiontracker would fix their damn reply module - it claims not to have sent and hangs, when it does -as a result, people keep resubmitting the same reply. Fix it, guys!!! Rifty PS Seems to work better if you preview first and then send....
