VisioVoice 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

The tools built into OS X are great for those with little or no vision (VoiceOver) or only slight problems (zoom), but for people who still navigate mostly with the mouse but have middling vision impairments I think that VisioVoice is a fantastic program. [alert admin]

Infovox iVox 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Superb

My Mac needed the OS reinstalled recently for hardware reasons, so I unexpectedly got to hear the built in Tiger voices again. The difference in quality was much more than I remembered - these Infovox iVox voices are a hundred times better to listen to, and much easier to understand. I highly recommend them to anyone who uses the OS X text-to-speech engine. [alert admin]

Task Reminder 1.2 (Mac OS X)

Handy, more features needed

Nice and simple to use, but I would like to see more features: - Being able to set a task to be done every 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc, week/month/year. You would need to add a field to the 2nd section of the screen for that. - Add a field for "days" where you have the week/month/year fields. That way, with both changes, tasks can be done every 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc, days. Also, being able to change the font of the top panel would be good. Overall, I found it very handy. r [alert admin]
