no, don't buy it, get vuescan instead! 
I bought this, hoping it would be better than vuescan but it has even more bugs than vuescan and their customer service, well I'm still waiting for a email response (they have no phone service) and it's been over a week. It won't "take' the serial number, still puts a watermark on the file. Silverfast clearly knows about this problem as they have a link on their web site dealing with it. Save your money, and your time, avoid this junky buggy software. [alert admin]
