Apple Safari 4.0.3 (Mac OS X)
Too fast for my connection and pop up block seams to have stopped working.
Connecting to sites with this new version shows a lot of errors when loading its almost like it. Does not wait long enough for replys from servers, data for pictures stops half way and a reload is needed. Ether its luck on the website developers side or error in settings but im getting pop ups were there was no pop ups before on file hosting sites. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 4.0b5528.17 (Mac OS X)
The latest update for Safari 4, forces A FLASH plugin update to 10.0 R22 instead of the stable flash 9. Downgrade flash if you have problems. [alert admin]

Mozilla Firefox 3.5 beta 4 (Mac OS X)
Firefox now uses more CPU and more Threads than safari. To load the same web page. This of course means its faster. but you'll lose CPU power from other apps to quick. Flash animations on some sites no longer triggered this has changed from other betas. This is due to the site not Knowing the web browser Agent ID. [alert admin]

DivX 7 for Mac 7.0 (Mac OS X)
Only the DivX 7 player app needs Intell CPU.
If you read the DivX infomation on the site, Youll notice they DID NOT include any H264 or MKV encoder updates with the Mac version of DivX 7. Strange WE Mac users have done that for years but in MPEGs MP4 container. Not a big Deal. DivX 7.0 Converter is version 1.3 is still PPC CPU useable. DivX 7.0 Encoder component 6.8 is still PPC CPU useable. (Some nice new options) DivX 7.0 Decoder component is still PPC CPU useable. DivX 7.0 Web plugin is 1.4.1.4 is still PPC CPU useable. Only the player requires Intell chip CPU but then you can use Quicktime 7 (as they give you a Quicktime component as ^above ^ and Perian plugin to play MKV any way if you must. If you Need to make DivX for a stand alone player then this will still work for PPC users You just can ether wait till (IF) they fix the PPC bugs or Extract the components from the installer and add them manualy to your PPC system. Mozilla Firefox 3.1 beta 3 (Mac OS X)
Been testing Firefox for ON PPC G4 for years and I think Ill give up, As Ill never get a free T-shirt. Its always to stable. Its slower than safari now rendering web pages but thats because its not a resource hog, when you use it on default setup, extension free. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 4.0b (Mac OS X)
Finaly a new option I can use. Scrolling down pages of a site just to find out that I did not need the page saves so much time on my lap top. the tabs removal to the top of the page decreases the time spent on a dead end page as more of the page is actualy visable, On forums reading more comments per page is a lot better. less mouse clicks to read an active topic. Thank you [alert admin]

MediaLink 1.7 (Mac OS X)
As normal keep a aback up version handy 1.71 broke LAN file transfers speed on my system it no longer runs at full speed data is transfered Slower. there seams to be a limit of the MAX data speed. If 1.6 was working for you don't upgrade. if you have 1Gb/s router that was failing get the 1.71 update. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 3.1.2 (Mac OS X)
Safari tiger < safari leopard < web kit nightlys ![]()

Having had to use safari on tiger recently Ive noticed there is a big difference between the OSX versions, Tigers version of 3.1.2 is slow in rendering pages compaired to leopards version of 3.1.2 it gets even worse the lower the upload speed, Leopard continues to connect to sites tiger just fails unless you shut down and restart it on tiger, why?, this is on the same G4 power book. And also there are a few sites were neither version would render the site properly (reported the site ) and on one the forum on a site it failed to run but use the nightly build from web kit and the forum would work fine. What ever Apple has disabled in there builds that webkit does not is a pain. If only Fire fox did not over ride other apps and use 100% cpu when running flash videos I would switch plus it needs a better RSS feed reader plugins. [alert admin]

Opera 10.10 is beta release Opera 10.01 is the stable release. firefox 3.6.1 is beta release firefox 3.5.4 is the stable release. thats how browser version numbers work. First you get the beta version, then the stable version with the same numbers.

Its fire fox 3 that auto runs the tool bar Ive had Yahoo.com tool bar do the same before when yahoo messenger was installed. If you don't have it on block all addon installs from every site. Brand New installs will trigger the toolbar which can be just uninstalled. It wont install in safari, just firefox. Update via the vuse app does not require the installer..

There is no point talking up Apples site as thats were any real mac user already looks. Permissions status are only stored in a single file in OSX this is what files are checked with . APPLE.com won't update this file evey time a core Apple app updates so Permissions will be wrong untill a security update is done by Apple after all the apps have been updated per their time schedule. Aliases and other files moved…

Any download apps. any thing that is internet connected app that was released before this version of safari. even Internet plug ins. back them up then remove them, restart and try safari again. if it works add stuff back untill it fails then send a note to the developer of that app to get to work…

Only the DivX 7 player app needs Intell CPU.
The Installer does nothing but copy the components to your HDD. All the components are Self contained bundles. That are just moved and over right the old versions. You can do that your self manualy. You do the manual Extract with the "show contents" right click option on the installer and un zip the zip files, then you can add the NEW file icon logos and player logos to update the PPC version…

seems there's a bug with this update ?
There has always been a SLOW death of Some OSX 10.5 users Macs when using transmission. Its allways been possible to kill OSX 10.5 completely With Transmission. The problem is well posted about on their forums. For some users like you. its random with each update With other users like me its permanent bug on the app and the app can't be used. due to the complete Crash/freeze. Due to the HOLE Mac system freezing/crashing…
