Entourage Email Archive X 3.6.1 (Mac OS X)
Great Program - Amazing Support ![]()

This is an excellent program that will allow you to reduce the size of your bloated Entourage email database. In my experience it works flawlessly. Using the FileMaker Pro template I am able to much more thoroughly search my archived database and it allows me to drag and drop those archived emails, with attachments, back into Entourage easily if I need them there again. I can archive several different mails boxes to different archive databases or to the same archive database. I found the manual straightforward but it did not answer many of my ‘what if’ questions or totally explain the advantages or disadvantages of some of the choices. And although I watched the video several times I did not fully understand it or the importance of it. In hindsight it shows you exactly what to do. However tech-support is the best I have ever encountered in 19 years of dealing with computer software support. They responded within a reasonable amount of time to my email and when my questions got complicated they setup a chat with me and hung in there until I was totally comfortable. [alert admin]

Adobe DNG Converter & Camera Raw 3.2 (Mac OS X)
I am still experiencing a deadend link. The Adobe site still only references a 3.1 update. [alert admin]

Utilitunes 1.2 (Mac OS X)
This is potentially a great program but it does not update the artwork on all songs for any given album. If that's important to you there is a lot more work involved in updating iTunes with this software. The author acknowledged my email quickly but after a week I've heard nothing more. [alert admin]

FAXstf X Pro 10.5.3 (Mac OS X)
FAXstf is the only software program that i have ever used that i was unable to get to work properly. Tech support is worthless except for the most basic problems. Anything else needs to be escalted and you never hear from them again. Tech support is without a doubt the worst I have ever encountered. I used the program under OS 9 and loved it. Great features but under OS X forget it. [alert admin]

FAXstf X Pro 10.5.0 (Mac OS X)
I have used FAXstf for years on OS 9 and had no problems, however the 10.5 version is something else. I am using a Mac G4 with OS 10.2.8 and FAXstf X Pro 10.5. I had lots of issues surrounding cover pages and although tech support worked with me for 1.5 hours, so far all the problems still exist. It would be easy to use, with great features at a reasonable price if it worked. And I could give tech support credit if they would fix the problems. Hopefully they will but at this time I can't recommend it. Some of the problems I've had: Fax cover chosen or designated in <Preferences:Cover Page:Cover Pages tab> as new default (a new custom default) is not what shows up when you are making cover choices (File:Print:Fax Options:Cover Page tab) before sending fax. Fax cover chosen from the list of choices <File:Print:Fax Options:Cover Page tab> when preparing and sending a cover and fax is not the same one that is shown in the “sent folder” afterward. Generally there is no cover shown in the “sent folder.” Fax covers received at the other end are not always what was designated to be sent. I sent a custom fax page but they received a factory default page. Once the correct custom page (this was a different custom page) was sent but the “sent folder” showed factory default fax had been sent. Header choices are not all visible in that window and there is no scroll bar to get to bottom ones. You can use the down arrow to show sample below but you cannot see the actual choices in the big window. With down arrow you can make the hidden header the default header and for just that time you will get a scroll bar but next time you come back to this window the scroll bar is gone. In attempting to send a fax while on the phone I would get “Error Message: -109, The fax software had a failure.” and the fax would go straight to the sent folder, with no cover page visible. I did not get any type of phone busy/line not available message. [alert admin]

Reunion 8.0.4 (Mac OS 9)
A Great Product Lost A Step In OS X
Reunion is a great product but with the OS X version they dropped the ability to record voices through the program. You must go back into OS 9 to utilize that function. Big loss as far I am concerned. [alert admin]

Apple Mac OS X 10.2.5 (Mac OS X)
a kernel panic (crash) every five minutes on my G4 because I have a USB hub. Well it's not really the hub that is causing the problem, it's the poorly written software but disconnecting the hub gets rid of the kernel panics, and of course my printer, and scanner and speakers. For me it's a work around until Apple comes out with a fix. [alert admin]

Apple Mac OS X 10.2.5 (Mac OS X)
& Disk Warrior before downloading 10.2.5 onto a 450 mhz dual processor G4. After restarting ran both utilities again & they showed no problems. G4 was great with 10.2.4. Now it locks up in both Entourage & Quicken after the application has been open for less than 5 minutes. Screen goes gray from top to bottom and demands a restart. By the book setup on the Mac, nothing strange but there is a USB hub. Bad software. [alert admin]

the 5.0.3 Read Me in the 5.0.4 OE folder? Are they correct and mislabeled or invalid because they are for the previous version? [alert admin]
