MySQL GUI Tools 5.0-r8 (Mac OS X)

MediaCentral 2.1 (Mac OS X)
All I get, after the first screen, is the gray background. No menus, no backgroung music...NOTHING! The program is alive (I can resize the empty window, I can change the volume with up and down arrows and I can quit it (no star at all) If I reinstall v2.0.2 it works (two stars) I'm on osX 10.4.7 up to date, G5 quad, 6GB RAM, 7800GT. What's (not) happening? [alert admin]

ftp doesn't work. When trying to connect, SD4 quits (obviously the server is reachable by other ftp clients...) :(( [alert admin]
