iStumbler 98 (Mac OS X)
I'm not getting any readings from iStumbler now that I've upgraded to Snow Leopard. Is it just me? [alert admin]

Panorama Enterprise Server 5.5.1 (Mac OS X)
Wow! It is hard to believe that this is the same Panorama! ![]()

Panorama used to be great. Now it is awesome. I can't believe that the program that I've been using since the beginning of the Mac is now a fully blown web server capable program. The timing of this is perfect for a huge project that I've just gotten. The PC users will be running all of their queries and reports from web pages and they won't even know that the back end server is a Mac! :-) They'll only know that it does everything that they wanted. Thanks ProVUE. Got to get back to work now. [alert admin]

Apple iCal 2.0.5 (Mac OS X)
The VT Pro program told me that I was running 2.0.3 (which I am) and said that 2.0.4 was available but the only link shown is for the Tiger upgrade. I checked my Software Updates option but it said I was up to date. What gives? Notification without a working link to get what is supposed to be available is of no use. [alert admin]

Network Device Finder 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Why o why would a Macintosh developer fall to the levels of the Windows community when naming their file? The download for this file is named 'ndfub.zip'. When a user is trying to clean out their download folder, finding files like this is so frustrating. No one will ever have a clue what the heck this file is. Why couldn't the developer name it NetworkDeviceFinder.v1.1.zip? [alert admin]

IP Scanner 1.6.3 (Mac OS X)
$25 for more than 4 IPs? Jeez. On the PC side there are many apps that do a lot more than this for an entire Class C subnet for $0. Macs do cost more! lol [alert admin]

World Dominos Championship 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Maybe this is what games are supposed to be about, but in my opinion, this 'World Dominos Championship' game is way too gamey. First off, in this usage, the spelling would be Dominoes. Next, I hate it when a game chooses to modify my screen resolution. and attempt to take over my screen. This is my computer and I have other things in my life besides the game. Let me choose to have a 800x600 resolution if I like but don't hold your breath. Mucking with my resolution and being the sole application is for Windows users who don't know how to do more than one thing at at time. Don't default to your sound playing because I may want to use it while taking a break at work. This game pushes, pushes, pushes, for the user to purchase the game. Sorry, but I am not lookin for such in my face Buy Me Now kind of advertising. The name of the producer, Toy Box Games, says it all. While Dominoes may be played by children, the majority of players in the world are not children. Designing the game for children with graphics of a tricycle and sounds of children giggling are not what would inspire me to regularly play a game. Kinda makes me feel like a picked the wrong game. And use the real name of the game rather than WDC so that people can choose it more easily from the Recent Applications menu. I guess that means maybe not being so pretentious and proclaiming to be 'World' class or 'Championship' quality. A game with childrens graphics and interface with a big haute name. Something isn't right in River City. [alert admin]

TouchStrokes 1.5.6 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
While it is not free, if you need to enable text entry without using a keyboard, this is the ticket. The custom sizing is great, the iconizing of the app is great. I haven't found anything I could add to this. [alert admin]

Linksys wireless cable/DSL 4 port router 1.4.3 (Mac OS 9)
read the Release Notes and they say that if your product is v.2, then you will need to download version 2 of the firmware. But then again, as the Release Notes have at least 10 misspelled words on the half sheet of text, perhaps we can't trust their Quality Control. [alert admin]

what a waste of time. Any email harvester that was wanting to find these email addresses could merely look for the hex equivalents of whatever they used to look for. The only place that confusion happens is for the average user who can't read hex. Certainly if the browser can translate this, the harvester can do the same. And what makes anyone think that harvesters are not already looking for hex equivalents of email addresses? [alert admin]

The ability to remove the Roman keyboard is way too easy. 99.99% of the users that do this will quickly regret that they've done this. Please fix this. Also, the ease of removing the U.S. English language is too easy. This too should be at the very least verified before being allowed.
