VueScan 7.5.57 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
high end film scanners, the Nikon LS-2000 and a Microtek ScanMaker 5. These two scanners have saved me thousands in the dollars I would have paid for high end drum scans. Neither Nikon nor Microtek plan on supporting them in OS X and that has left me with few options. I've tried SilverFast AI, I like it, I need two different versions to run both my scanners (it doesn't yet support the Nikon in OS X yet, will they? I don't know.) But I like my results better from VueScan. VueScan also handles difficult negative film extremely well. And the scans from VueScan far exceed the quality of scans I ever received from either Nikon Scan or Microtek's ScanWizard. [alert admin]
