Alarm Clock 2.4.5 (Mac OS X)
Potentially great, but has disastrous bug. ![]()

I was very pleased to find this app—it's free, and very configurable, and unobtrusive. I installed it, and was happy. It worked very well, but I had to uninstall it, as I found out *eventually* that it was behind a total death of drag-and-drop functionality in the Finder some unspecified time after startup. I was having to restart my computer to get drag-and-drop back, nothing else would do it...then I suddenly had a thought, uninstalled his app, and I have never had problems since. If this can be fixed, great, but of course it's totally unusable for me until then. [alert admin]

Aqua4iTunes 3.2.0 (Mac OS X)
I have iTunes 7.2, and Aqua4iTunes 3.2. The program tells me I need iTunes 7.2, and wants to quit. I have it! Gah. [alert admin]

ImageWell 3.0.3 (Mac OS X)
Still very good, but this new version, the interface is way too complicated. I will be sticking with 2.1, I'm afraid, which was much easier and did everything very well. [alert admin]

This is going in the trash, no matter how powerful it is, because the interface is WAY too cluttered and unwieldy and difficult to understand. And, might I add, nothing like the screenshot up there. I use complex apps a lot, but consistency and logic and such in interface design go a long way. And get rid of halk those preferences, too! I don't need to adjust the height of the header (which isn't even a header!) via preferences! [alert admin]

Synergy Advance 0.4b (Mac OS X)
I double click on it, the icon bounces then disappears. No change to anything that I can see; nothing in menu bar or preferences pane. No readme with file, no help available on site. To the trash it goes! [alert admin]

Ericsson Client 1.0.0 (Mac OS X)
Doesn't find phone. Useless. [alert admin]

Transmission 0.4 (Mac OS X)
Works well. Needs more features (not as many as Azureus, but at least the ability to download parts of torrents, &c.), but, main thing, unlike every other clint I've tried, this leaves you some system memory & bandwidth with which to keep on doing other things! So, it's my choice. [alert admin]

Skype 1.4.0.35 (Mac OS X)
Crashes when trying to set up an account, every time (my old account suddenly doesn't work). So, no idea what it's like apart from that. I remember the old days, when it used to work... [alert admin]

BitPump 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Yes, a dmg to install, unncessary and weird. Why? Then the app...I double-click on it, it brings up a preferences dialogue. I think the defaults are fine, so I click, "Apply". The app quits. So! Won't be using this... [alert admin]

Torrent Station 1.0 (Mac OS X)
There are many BT clients on VersionTracker, and this is the only on, so far as I'm aware, that isn't free. What on earth is the incentive to pay? Download the official client, or Tomato Torrent, or Transmission, or Azureus; they're all free. [alert admin]

75% of the speed? 50% of the speed? You're saying it's slower by half in some cases?
