Google Notifier 1.9.97 (Mac OS X)
This is a really handy little application. I would request a couple improvements. First, when I respond to an email, my response appears as a new email. That is, I'm notified when I just sent an email. I don't need that notification, and I'd like the option to turn it off. Second, and I guess this is a general Gmail issue, when I read an email in Entourage and it is marked "read," it's still marked "unread" in Gmail and in the notifier. I'd like Gmail to recognize when Entourage (or any mail reader) reads a message and marks it read. [alert admin]

SafariPlus 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)
Even with the update to 1.5.1, after installing SafariPlus I still get Safari crashes more often than without it. I'm using Safari 2.0.4 in OS 10.4.10 on an Intel iMac. Pity, because it seems like a useful program. [alert admin]

FrostWire 4.13.2 (Mac OS X)
Since Acquisition stopped working well I've been using Frostwire, and it pretty much does the trick. If I were able I would make a few changes, such as: Improve the live filtering tool, so I could sort listed files by my own keywords or exclude-words. Shrink or eliminate the white space barrier between the file list and the download window, as it takes up scarce screen space. And continue to fine-tune the junk filter, as I still get a lot of bogus 300k mpg files and such in the list when I search for rare files. Still, overall a good program and recommended. [alert admin]

ImageViewerCMPlugIn 2.4 (Mac OS X)
What would be really great would be a new movie/mp3 viewer cmm, like the old QuickPlay CM. I miss that functionality. [alert admin]

KisMAC 0.21a ()
Turn yourself inside out trying just to get Kismac to scan, to do what iStumbler can do, to do anything, and then you realize: This is great software, except that it doesn't work at all. [alert admin]

Acquisition 132.7 (Mac OS X)
The developer or his friends are filling this section up with 5-star reviews. Pathetic. Nonetheless, this is a very good program. The main problems are the nag messages (which are annoying but acceptable in the free version) and the hijacking of your browser, which is a shameful practice. [alert admin]
