Pronto Survey 1.1.9 (Mac OS X)
For multi-page functionality it is worth the $60. Heck, worth twice that. [alert admin]

iDive 1.5b2 (Mac OS X)
Have to chime in here. This is not a toy. This is a pro level application. As has been said here before, if you have over ten tapes this is for you. The developer is the most responsive I have ever seen. This is iPhoto for video tapes. This integration from iDive to FCP and iMovie makes this a MUST HAVE for any video shooter. The new mosaic addition is stunning and could be used for show intros etc. You Need This. Perry Lawrence [alert admin]

Firefox 1.5b1 (Mac OS X)
It now works with Lotus iNotes - the one app I still needed to fire up Virtual PC and IE to use. Thanks [alert admin]

Picture Rescue 1.1.0 (Mac OS X)
Worth twice the money this utility is invaluable. After an "insert disk, remove, insert disk" without ejecting scenario, my 200 shots of a once in a lifetime trip to China were not found. Running Picture Rescue found and restored them. Thanks! [alert admin]

more.groupware 0.7.3 (Mac OS X)
I've been using MGW for a few months and evaluating it against eGroupware, its only other competitor in my mind. MGW installs easily and is easy to administer. The install includes many modules that you can activate via one click. Only more.groupware and eGroupware have all the needed features PLUS a kickin' eMail webclient. IMHO, MGW's eMail browser-based client is best of breed. Very "outlook like" and professional. There are many, many groupware solutions out there. However, very few incorporate an integrated Webmail component. The project manager is very easy to use and intuitive. There are two choices for calendaring, two TTS systems, internal messaging, RSS feeds, and more. The user/developer community is active and friendly. [alert admin]

Prompt! is an excellent solution to the need to keep your video talent from fumbling over words and forgetting lines. Simply run this on your laptop and place the screen just below the lens and viola; problems solved. Add to that the extra bonus of working with the Griffin PowerMate and BOOM - a truly PRO solution that just works. [alert admin]

PilotScript Pro 4.0.3 (Mac OS X)
This is simply the best web enabled test/quiz program out there for the money. The application generates compliant html code that you then upload to your host. No confusing database to set up. The best part is the ease with which to add any sort of media (mp3, mov, swf) into the tutorial. The developer is excellent to work with a very receptive to user needs. I plan on making this my defacto learning tool. This app has a great future. [alert admin]

RAFN OS 0.8.9r3 (Mac OS X)
Focus on what you want to do. This is a cool idea but who is your target audience? Kids? Then why have a BOSS feature? Adults? Then whay have game cheats? The screen shots you posted took 5 minutes to download. Get a designer to help you with the interface. You devote 20% screen realestate to you logo! Good start - just narrow your focus and purify the concept. [alert admin]

iDive 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)
If you shoot DV you need this product. The strength is three-fold: 1) Archival tool - it has an amazing tagging function making huge libraries easily searchable (wish iPhoto's was as good). 2) Digitizing tool - clip creation on the fly PLUS frame grabs at every 2-10 seconds creates a catalog that is very fast to navigate and review. Digitize raw or set up a wide variety of grab and compression schemes. 3) XML export and drag and drop ability into iMovie and FCP make this a tool I use every day. Developer is first rate and very interested in user feedback. No wonder its an award winner. [alert admin]

Ok, I'll bite. What other "$2000-$3000" solutions are you competing with if not BlackBaud? Also, why would a growing non-profit get involved with a software solution that is "more expensive" (as you add seats) than the industry leader? Why get locked into this.

I was already to jump in a defend the pricing structure and then I saw that the $1,900 was for a single user. I use Raiser's Edge by BlackBaud and it is the MOST expensive fundraising/CRM system out there - yours is second. 5 client seats of FUNDimention would run me $9,800. Ouch. I love the fact that there is an alternative out there. However BlackBaud is a HUGE company with over 1000 employees…
