iPodRip 1.0 (Mac OS X)
The Little App Factory has been making iPodRip for quite some time. You should consider a new name. [alert admin]

PGP Desktop Home 9.7.2.1608 (Mac OS X)
Beware… No Free Updates 9.7 to 9.8 ![]()

I purchased the version 9.7 upgrade to PGP Desktop Home on December 20th, when it was first released. Today, February 7th, version 9.8 is cleverly released more than 30 days after version 9.7. The point version update is another $99.00. No thanks. If it was version 10 that would be different. I can't see paying $99.00 every month for something that crashes on its first launch after login, every time. [alert admin]

Ovolab Geophoto 1.8 (Mac OS X)
Version 1.7 works with Tiger 10.4.11, but version 1.8 appears to want Leopard. It crashes immediately with not much of a crash report and appears to show the same error as other Leopard only applications. I reinstalled version 1.7. [alert admin]

OSS 3D 2.3b7 (Mac OS X)
I uninstalled all files related to previous versions of OSS 3D before installing version 2.3b7 on my 733MHz G4 with Tiger 10.4.11, but it crashes many applications. It also launches with everything off or set so that you can't hear anything. I had saved version 2.3b6 and re-installed it. It works great! I stay with it for now. I rate version 2.3b6 excellent, but stability problems with version 2.3b7 brings my ratings down some. [alert admin]

Adobe Stock Photos 1.5 (Mac OS X)
There doesn't seem to be anything new here. I used the Adobe Updater quite some time ago and my version of Adobe Stock Photos is already 1.5.0.466, dated 4/25/07. The downloaded installer told me that Adobe Stock Photos was already installed. You may already be up to date. [alert admin]

QuitsApps 1.0.4 (Mac OS X)
I've used Quitling, which I still use, and it works well. It can only kill one thing at a time. I also use Quit Anything, but it seems to have stopped further development. It occasionally gets AppleScript errors and is somewhat unstable. I does kill as many things as you want. This is an advantage over Quitling. I've pretty much switched over to QuitsApps because it works first time, every time. I use Retrospect for backups and it takes over the computer when it runs on my old G4. I use QuitsApps to kill everything before Retrospect runs on the days that it runs. I made a donation and will pay for registration if it becomes shareware. It is such a great time saver. VersionTracker Pro 4.2.2 (Mac OS X)
Version 4.2.0 was very slow, 4.2.1 an improvement, but still a little slow. Version 4.2.2 works fast and does not give me any of the problems of the previous posters. It still shows new software and does not lose its connection to the internet. VersionTracker Pro works just the way I want it, now, and I have lots of software for it to wadw through. [alert admin]

YemuZip 2.0 (Mac OS X)
YemuZip is another easy to use utility from Yellow Mug. In the past I have purchased FileChute, SizzlingKeys, SnapNDrag and TapDex. Every one of these utilities makes simple tasks even simpler. If you've never purchased a Yellow Mug product, buy the bundle. I'd say that the rest of their products are probably as good as the ones that I purchased before they had the bundle offer. Why bother. They have plenty of bandwidth. Nothing downloads as fast as Apple downloads via Akamai.

I get the same thing. The previous version worked fine. I'm still on a G4 running Tiger 10.4.11.

I agree with the developer. I'm still on Tiger because my computer is too slow for Leopard. Hopefully, I'll rectify that after Macworld. And… I'll still be able to use iConiCal as the developer states (color changes, etc.) in Leopard.

It definitely does work with EarthLink as an ISP. I've used FileChute for several years on EarthLink with no problems.

I totally agree with the previous comments. NetBarrier works first time, every time. I have not contacted support after having owned NetBarrier for over 5-1/2 years. It just works and the documentation is easy to follow.

I think that something else is the cause of your problem. I am using Retrospect successfully on my G4.
