Hear 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Seems to be a problem with RealPlayer 11
A great program; it enhances the Harman Kardon Soundsticks I've got on my desktop and it's a great addition to the PowerBook G4 I use as a portable sound system with some old Kef Coda speakers and a tiny Sonic Impact amp. But it seems to be incompatible with RealPlayer 11 (on my Intel iMac at least), causing browsers to crash when trying to access internet radio stations. (RealPlayer 10 seems ok though). No reply on this from technical support yet! [alert admin]

CDpedia 4.1.3 (Mac OS X)
The application looks nice and is well laid out, but the track information doesn't seem to be searchable. [alert admin]

Syncopation 2.0 (Mac OS X)
I've used Syncopation right from version 1.0. For many months I was recording radio programs on an old G4 Cube and synchronizing with my iPod on a G5 iMac, so Syncopation got used to make the transfer. I got good support from the developer with some initial problems and after that it always worked well. I've used version 2 in Beta and it's great to see the final release. [alert admin]

Mom's Calendar 3.6.1 (Mac OS X)
On an Intel iMac running 10.4.11 the Text Export function produces a 0k document. Otherwise the program looks neat. [alert admin]

Sidenote 1.7.2 (Mac OS X)
Neat application, but it won't display notes if you are running Teleport. [alert admin]

iBlog 1.4.5 (Mac OS X)
Tried it for my blog. Reasonably happy with the interface, but it crashed when I tried to share the information with another computer. Now I can't get the data back into the application even though it is all there in user/ILbrary. Rebuild Application Data doesn't work. Seems a fatal flaw to have an application that van't restore it's data from backup. No immediate response from Lifli Software. I think I'll use something else. [alert admin]

I've found this application just magic. I use it for taking a wide variety of notes and i have just used it for publishing my website on .mac. A real killer feature is the ability to assign any number of the words into a cell full of text as key words. The Keywords index then allows you to display all the cells containing this keyword. This is an absolute godsend if you are researching connected topics as you can display all the text needed to put together an article or essay. [alert admin]

AppleWorks X 6.2.9 (Mac OS X)
I'm pretty unimpressed by AppleWorks' last 2 upgrades. Running the International English version on a G4 Cube with OS X, now at 10.3.2, I went back down from AW 10.2.7 to 10.2.4 because the update ran so slowly. Now I try the 10.2.9 updater and can't get it do do anything. All I get is the spinning beachball and a message saying "Gathering Information" for ever - until I get fed up and force quit. Perfect Pitch 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Perfect Pitch looks as if it ought to be very good, but I can't get it to work! I'm running OS X 10.3.1 on a G4 Cube (450 MHz). I'm trying to tune a classical guitar. With 2 different microphones and several different sensitiviy setting, it only registers after a delay, the needle sticks at that point and it won't register anything else for a long time. The note recorded is usually totally inaccurate and playing the same note on the guitar several times gives several, wildly inaccurate readings (wrong note, wrong octave). What's worse is that my e-mail to the developer has been returned with an invalid address message. [alert admin]

Ah, I have to take it all back. Got it working ok after a couple of restarts - don't know what was wrong. Also the developer tracked me down from my previous post and immedialtely offered helpful info. As it's "Donationware" i will definitely contribute.
