Key Xing 2.6.6 (Mac OS X)
Found this on Luma Code's Web site:
"Key Xing is no longer available. Unfortunately, we're not currently at liberty to say why Key Xing is no longer available, but rest assured that it's not a quality problem. The last version (2.6.6) of Key Xing is bug-free as far as we know."

Excellent, Useful and Improving ![]()

My gratitude to the developer for continuing to work on this app. it does an excellent job for me, exactly what it says, although I would like to see continuing improvement. Therefore, I encourage users to pay for RadioLover and help keep this boat afloat!
To Leon999: I suggest your problem might be caused by three or more factors, and that another culprit might be found, like a font required by Palm Desktop or RadioLover being corrupt...
You might also try downgrading to Palm Desktop 4.0... In any case, I hope you're sharing your information with both developers!
Thanks!,

A Terrific Start - Needs Some Work ![]()

A very nice app that needs more ongoing development. Of course, development takes time and time could be used to make money for things like food and rent and health insurance. Since I support this developer investing time in improving this product, I am happy to invest a measly $15 to give him/her the time to do so. Some shareware titles are overpriced but this one is not. What needs developing here? I would like to see the timer function worked on. Particularly, the interface needs to be a simple matter of entering start/stop times rather than rotating these discs around a circle. It is a creative but unintuitive choice. Also, I'd like to see support for repeating timers, so I can record the same program at the same time on multiple days. Currently, I see no way to enter more than one timed event per station at a time. Also, I'm not sure why the ShoutCast tuner was removed from this build. Is that supposed to be an improvement? That said, this is a very good program that does what it says and does it well. Let's offer this developer some funds and feedback to make it a killer. And please, let's stop whining about not getting things for free. If you like software, try to remember that it did not occur spontaneously. A real human being has to put time and personal resources into creating these tools. If you want those tools to be worth something, show your support. [alert admin]

File Buddy 7.5.6 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
File Buddy continues to be a terrific and useful app, and it is well updated and stable, but $50 is too much for shareware, period. I registered long ago and have paid for the upgrade, but would never have paid the current price for the full version. There are too many good alternatives at a reasonable price.
This developer certainly deserves to be paid for his consistent good work, but he's not going to get high sales (or discourage piracy) by overcharging for it. [alert admin]

Default Folder X 1.7 (Mac OS X)
Default Folder X is one of those tools you can't imagine doing without once you've used it. I found the upgrade price a lot easier to handle than the full price, though. While I do think it is worth it, $35 is a large chunk of change for many folks. Since Apple now makes us fork over $129 every year for OS upgrades, and every developer seems to be nickle-and-diming us to death, bargains are getting harder and harder to find. I am glad to support good developers of terrific software (like DFX) but the higher shareware (and commercialware) is priced, the more people are encouraged to resort to piracy. [alert admin]

InFlow 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
the price, but that's not unusual for commercial plug-in developers. InDesign plug-ins are almost all overpriced. [alert admin]

Griffin iMate X 1.5.3 (Mac OS X)
by a comment in the Read Me file, "...OS 9 ADB drivers and applications that communicate with ADB cannot be used with the current iMate OS X driver. THIS FEATURE MAY BE ADDED IN FUTURE VERSIONS OF THE DRIVER..." Since Wacom continues to refuse to develop or release ADB-compatible drivers for OS X, it would be terrific if SOME accomodation were made available to make this legacy equipment useful again. After all, Wacom's anti-service, profiteering tactic makes my iMate as obsolete as my Intuos tablets. Griffin developing a way to use a Classic driver would make the iMate useful again. When I can use the iMate with my tablet I'll be able to offer a star-rating. [alert admin]

and I like it, and it could be useful if one wanted to use both PIMs or once to switch PIMs, but I agree that $15 is a little too high a price. I think $7-$10 will get the developer more response, or license it for $5 for five uses and $15 for unlimited uses. [alert admin]

DockExtender 3.0b6 (Mac OS X)
unstable for me. Nothing is working, which was true in earlier versions as well. Blank icons; Prefs pane doesn't open on first click; Unable to do anything but relaunch the Dock and add duplicate or blank docks. Settings are not saved. Yes, I have logged off and back in, yes I have repaired permissions. This would be very useful but it is worthless as it is today. I can't evaluate what doesn't even begin to work. ALSO: VT link to Download Previous Versions is the same as Download Now link. [alert admin]
