Focus 2.7 (Mac OS X)
Does anyone know if this would be a good replacement for floating clock? [alert admin]

JetPhoto 2.2 (Mac OS X)
This is a very nice app, especially for free, but RAW support would make it great. [alert admin]

Apple iPhoto 6.0 (Mac OS X)
Important (for me) new features... ![]()

Being able to keep your photos in a pre-established folder structure rather than in the iPhoto library, and being able to open RAW files as RAW files in CS2 (so I can make my own changes in Camera Raw). These two new features may make this my regular use photo organizer. Add full Keyword Assistant support for v.6 and it's a great app. [alert admin]

Apple Mac OS X 10.4.3 (Mac OS X)
Mail is messed up... Well, my Rules are messed up. I can't edit them. I used "Mail Act-On" and "Mail Tags" so I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but update messed up my rules. [alert admin]

Opera 8.5 (Mac OS X)
You know, I've been playing around with Opera since its latest release yesterday and I really like it. It has an incredible feature set and it's fast. I could see this becoming a regular-use browser for me. I, too, have been going back and forth between Safari, Camino, and Firefox. There are some things that take some getting used to with Opera (e.g., cmd-n for a new page (tab), not cmd-t), but you eventually get familiar with its features. IMO it's worth a good long look. MailTags 1.0 (Mac OS X)
...this looks to be VERY cool. Actually may be the missing link that could get me to leave Entourage. I'll have to spend sometime with it, though, before migrating just yet (don't know if it's stable yet). Very nice idea. [alert admin]

Breaks Gmail SSL POP connection
GMail started acting funny (not connecting) BEFORE I updated to 11.2.3. Same thing happens in Mail.app. I think the problem's on their end?

and the above comment holds even for Shiira, which is basically a better recast of Safari. However, once Shiira becomes more stable I could see that being the best of the bunch.

Well, that's exactly why I wrote in my review "...There are some things that take some getting used to..." No, Opera isn't Safari or Firefox; it's Opera. The fact that it works slightly different than browsers with which you have experience doesn't necessarily mean that it is not user friendly. I took a couple of minutes to explore its design and easily incorporated all of my bookmarks into the toolbar. In fact, it's much MORE…
