Macromedia Fireworks MX 2004 7.0.1 (Mac OS X)
How did we let the marketers get out of hand like this? Macromedia Fireworks MX Pro 2004 7.0.1? Can we just call the damn think Macromedia Fireworks 7.0.1 like it really is? Sheesh. [alert admin]

Is one of the "optimizations" the re-inclusion of the Talk feature? [alert admin]

America's Army 1.9 (Mac OS X)
I do think that the background of a software has relevance in its review. If one were to make a reference to Microsoft's monopolistic abuses to gain dominance with a certain piece of software, I'm sure it would be well-received here. That said, this software is an utter sham, wasting our taxpayer dollars on this mind-numbing patriotic propaganda. Save your development for simulations used to practice killing reporters and Iraqi civilians. By the way, this software runs reasonably well on 800MHz G4 + GeForce 2MX. [alert admin]

The latest version crashes when transferring mp3's to iTunes automatically. All download information lost. Resolved by disabling the iTunes feature, but hopefully will be fixed in the next version. [alert admin]

I see enough American flags on my drive to work plastered on hulking SUV's; I don't care to have one on my computer screen. You want to show support for an administration bent on American imperialism and declaring wars on countries who don't fall in line to make hysterical fatso's feel better? An administration who's profitting politically and financially on 9/11 to the detriment of America's true (not propagandized) security and welfare? This is for you. [alert admin]

Pocket Tanks 1.00b (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
comments to add, because I think with a few touchups, this can be a perfect game. More simultaneous players (computer or human) is a must. Also, instead of having the wind be a negative figure, you should show an arrow (left or right) and simply a magnitude. Finally, instead of repetitively and unnecessarily asking "Play again? Yes or no", you should just start the next round and leave it to the user to quit out if he wants to by simply hitting Escape. [alert admin]

Pocket Tanks 1.00b (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
very faithful to the original. I also like the idea of expansion packs for new weapons in the arsenal. It would be nice to have a windowed mode and more options like the number of turns, auto-random, and more players simultaneously. This is only v1.00, so maybe they'll be added later. The only other complaints I have is that the menu animations get old and the price is a bit high. I'd consider this a $9 game at the most. [alert admin]

Agree 100%. Adium is currently working on an IRC component, but it would be great if Panic came up with one that I know would be polished, well-executed, and Mac-like.
